  1. Ben Partridge did an AMA on reddit recently so I asked him.. doesn't look like it's happening unfortunately. "Hi! I've been asked by a couple of festivals over the years (not Glastonbury) but I've always said no - I'm fairly sure a live Beef and Dairy show in front of an audience who have never heard the podcast would be a disaster on a par with the Cumberfeld cow disaster." Think he's got a point, both B&D and beans kind of need you to have immersed yourself in them to get all the in-jokes.
  2. Genuinely upset! There were 26 on the Avalon stage last year, and only 25 on the poster, so clinging to that, or them showing up on the Other stage or something... the dream isn't dead yet!
  3. Ooooh that's excellent news, saw Lynks at his midnight set in the rabbit hole in 2022, was one of the best parts of the whole festival. Will definitely be a different vibe early on a "proper" stage rather than the middle of the night on a giant picnic table but I'm READY!
  4. I hadn't heard of Otoboke Beaver before today, but now really looking forward to them. Japanese punk-rock-garage quartet. What new acts have you learned about from the poster?
  5. Busted! Genuinely disappointed they're missing, fingers crossed for them to come later on.
  6. If I'm counting right, there are still 4 names to be released for Pyramid, 9 for Other, 6 for West Holts, 7 for Woodsies, and 7 for The Park. So plenty more potential! I'm a little underwhelmed, but it will still be amazing.
  7. While we're all desperate for the lineup... As far as I can see, Benjamin Partridge has not been on the farm. His podcast "Beef and Dairy Network" seems so well-suited for Glastonbury. A live episode from a famous dairy farm seems so perfect! Has this idea been thrown out before? Is it too niche?
  8. Ah, good point. But what a treat if I get a call to say I've got the job AND the lineup drops at the same time, bliss!
  9. Selfishly reeeeally hoping for tomorrow afternoon because I've got an interview for a job I desperately want, if it's the morning I'll be distracted with lineup news. Tomorrow 3pm ish would be lovely please Emily!
  10. Thanks for the updates re: lineup news (genuinely exciting!), and sorry to be 'that gal' but... presumably most of the discussion was about women in music, anything interesting that was said about this, not relating to lineup? Would have loved to have gone.
  11. Hey Green People, First timer, arriving on Wednesday now because of the train strike. Is the settlement a seperate area you're not allowed in if you're a regular punter? Just trying to figure out if we're allowed to watch the sets happening on Wednesday. Cheers
  12. Oh wow! Did she enjoy the Glastonbury set? I can't imagine many - if any - of the bands I saw at her age then will still be relevant at her age now!

    Thefts/Robberies

I hadn't actually properly noticed, but now you say, yeah there was no one other than the fire tower. Never been to a festival like that before. Is it just a "2022 no staff" thing or are there never security in the campsites at Glastonbury?
  14. Can you copy and paste please so we don't have to give them traffic?

It's better for kiddies like that to be preoccupied on here pretending to "make loads of money and also I'm actually 35" than some of the dark turns other forums might suck them into. When he's older he'll cringe like hell, but at least he was doing this nonsense on a safe forum where people just laugh at him.

    Oh lord that's embarrassing.

I think you just have to get your parent or guardian to prove you're under 12 and they just let you in, no cover of darkness needed. Fantastic story for you to all tell after the summer holidays are over though!

So you all presumably got free entry and still couldn't afford a camping chair or pegs? That's sad, kid.

    Burning Lotus

That...can't be true? Burning man started in the 80s. Burning wicker/wooden figures is a practice that dates back centuries in the UK. Even if he didn't know that somehow, 'The Wicker Man' came out in '73. Guess it sounds cooler to say you were inspired by an American festival rather than maypoles and morris dancers 😂
  20. The robot band were amazing! I've seen similarish concepts before with 'mechanical bands', but this was genuinely well done and worth watching as a legitimate set. Also it's been decades since I've watched a Punch and Judy show, and we mainly just sat for a breather, but whoever was doing it was so engaging we ended up staying through the whole thing.
  21. This was the most age-diverse set I went to all festival, understandably. As we had the oldest AND youngest headliners (80/20) Who can lay claim (or knows someone that can) to the oldest/youngest person at McCartney's set (or watching at home?) Also fascinated by what that means in Beatles/Macca's history. I was born 13 years after John Lennon was killed, so seeing *The Beatles* was obviously not a possibility, but I was brought up on them by my now nearly 70 year old dad. Did anyone at his set see the actual Beatles? What was it like seeing both ends of such an incredible musical story?!
  22. Excitement of approaching Macca and anxiety about being stood in the dense crowd were fighting it out. Excitement won!
  23. Dammit I was hoping it would be ugly but that's actually really nice...
  24. Presumably top right of the Park Stage was meant to say "PEACE NOW" but it definitely looked more like "PEACE NONCE"
