Just been doing some comparisons with the 2019 build, out of (obsessive) interest.

At this point in 2019, the ribbon tower was complete. Work on Other stage had commenced in earnest. Early Greenpeace workers were camped in their field. There was no sign of the fence, or the backstage/hospitality tents by the side of the Pyramid.

The first sign of construction on Glastonbury on Sea appeared on 6th May.

The Arcadia crew arrived on Tuesday 7th May (the day after May Day bank holiday that year), and the first signs of the Park stage were visible on cam.

By 8th May, two large cranes were assembling Other's towers.

Cranes appear at the Park stage on 9th May, and by 10th May the Park stage structure was complete. This is also when the fence first appeared in 2019.

In other words, we're right at the point we can expect to see a significant ramp up of work on the farm!

Edit: I used this amazing page to browse through the 2019 build.

We are now at 6 1/2 weeks until the festival starts so should be full on from now on 🙂

So if they start tomorrow they will be on the same schedule as the last festival. Hopefully things will be erected quicker the second time around now that they’ve sorted out the snags from the first erection.

Festival started on the 26th in 2019, so they've actually less time...
