If Adele is doing the Saturday night, I'm suprised she wasn't the one announced today on the back of winning 4 Brits the other night.

Here comes the drones!

To be fair 2010 is a long time ago. 2 albums since then? Not too soon, 6 years is it.

I think some of you are being a bit harsh.

They really are sensational live.

I think its probably in the context of being alongside coldplay and adele that accentuates it

I think combined with Coldplay returning, shite new album and lots of good acts touring this year, it does seem a bit lazy/underwhelming.

No way Radiohead, Muse and Coldplay is doing the same festival.

No way Radiohead is doing the Saturday TV Headline set.

It's over, isnt it.

FUCK.

(the only straws i'm still clenching is the fact that why wouldnt they announce Adele after the Brits, if she is playing? Would be the perfect timing)

The problem I have with Muse isn't the length of time since they last headlined, nor the quality of their live show.

No, the problem I have with them is that they play a load of Muse songs, in the style of Muse.

There's really no getting over that, I'm afraid.

I've been led to believe that a friend of mine has seen a Glastonbury festival poster with Coldplay & Muse on it.

Do I believe him? Probably not although it wouldn't surprise me if he had.

Does anyone know who it is who designs the posters?

He works for a painting firm in the local area so if I had a name I could see if there was actually any validity in his claims...

Edit: didn't mention anything about Adele.

Well guess he was telling the truth...

She still has to get through the O2 shows before anyone can know if she can (and is willing to) do it.

Just come off my mate. They are doing 3 warm up gigs, deffo not playing Glasto (as we had all kind of guessed).

Stoke, Newcastle and one other.

Is your mate reliable for this type of stuff. My TITP ticket is getting cancelled if this is true. Can't justify it if I could see them in Newcastle, don't care about losing deposit.

I still don't buy this. Glastonbury headline crowd is around 6x the size of the crowd for the o2. For a big headliner anyway.

Then you have the differences in set-up, sound, its outdoors etc. That's what made me so suspicious.

The only real basis I have for her headlining is Neil's info t'other day.

They didn't announce Muse on the back of wining a Grammy.

Anything to do with Adele is big news. There's no need to piggy back the Brits.

Where they gonna play? Imagine the chew on for tickets if it was the academy? And do bands do warm ups at arena sized venues?

I don't even want to think about the problem getting tickets if they played the Academy. Never really heard of an arena warm up gig before, and I hate the arena anyway. The Roses don't do things the normal way though I suppose.

    • Another one from Sheffield DocFest this weekend, Earth Wind & Fire docu, directed by Questlove. Sensational archive footage, contributions from band members, family, plus a lot of very big fans (Stevie, Lionel, Flea, the Obamas) and a warts n all assessment of the genius / flawed human being that was Maurice White. Also, I never realised he started out as a jazz drummer with Ramsay Lewis. Well worth a watch.
