It's all pretty dire isn't it. Immature. It's making me a bit fed up of social media and the interweb!

at least take faith in the fact the internet is also great enough to find joy in collating all the ridiculous comments into one handy place for you to laugh/despair at

Ugh. As entertaining as that is; why does it have to be solely attributed to 'white people'? 'White people' probably make up the larger portion of his fanbase too.

You don't think there's a racist element to why *some* people don't want him to headline? look at the alternatives people are suggesting on there, not very diverse

Kanye West is a complete and utter c**t, there's no debating that. Personally I won't be watching him, horses for courses and all that.

I'm surprised more on here though aren't disappointed with him as a booking, purely because he is a complete and utter fucking jeb end who thinks he is the second coming. He is the polar opposite of the Glastonbury ethos.

Kim will no doubt be selling her perfume and fashion range from the side of the stage, assuming he isnt parading her fat naked arse all over the stage.

I actually like a lot of his output, especially the early albums, but him on stage live, preaching and telling us how great he is, no thanks, I'll leave him to the whitest audience he's ever had.

Oh aye, of course. Especially with people suggesting that because Kanye's a knob, a rap headliner it should be... Eminem? I just think it paints a picture of white people being mad at Kanye playing when also a lot of white people are happy about it! You could say the same about Metallica.

This article in response to the Kanye furore amused me:

Glastonbury to unveil ‘second stage’ at 2015 festival
BY WES MARCH 17, 2015 POST A COMMENT

Announcement comes in wake of complaints about Pyramid headliners

It’s an aspect of the festival as famous as the mud, the Pyramid, the various ways to alter your consciousness and the loos: if people know one thing about Glastonbury, it’s that it only has one stage.

512px-The_Pyramid_Stage_2014.jpg

And since the first festival in 1970, it has been so: a single stage, featuring one act at a time, with little else to do on site but trudge to the cider bus and back. This has meant that whenever the festival has announced acts for its line-up, a storm of outrage has been provoked from its followers, who are keenly aware of the lack of alternative entertainment options at the event.

They say you can’t please all of the people all of the time, and Glastonbury’s stubborn policy of booking international megastars such as Beyonce, Jay-Z and Metallica for the coveted headline slot has proven that several times over. Now in 2015, ticket-buyers have been outraged all over again by the news that they’ll be forced to watch one of the world’s best-selling and most-awarded artists of all time – the critically acclaimed Kanye West – or return to their tent and read a book by torchlight.

Now we can exclusively reveal that in a few months’ time, the festival will make history again by becoming the world’s first multiple-stage event.

“It’s like when they launched Channel 5”, explained a festival spokesperson. “At the time it was a big deal. But we soon got used to it. To be honest, by June I don’t think there’ll be any fuss. I wonder whether people will even remember that the second stage is there”.

At this point it’s unknown what kind of acts might be booked for this ‘other’ stage, with proposals including a specialist world music stage, a circus showcase, folk, dance or even theatre – “none of which anybody would ever have imagined could have happened at Glastonbury until now”, a music industry insider told us.

But the proposal has already upset some ticket holders, who fear that they will now be unable to see everything at the festival.

“There are bound to be clashes. I will either have to miss Kanye or miss whatever is on at this new stage. It’s going to be the worst festival ever.” said one unhappy punter. Another told us, “I don’t buy a ticket to watch things on weaker stages. It’s Kanye or nothing. And I hate Kanye. So I’m still going to complain. No matter what.”

It’s rumoured that plans are afoot for a third or even fourth stage at some point in the future. Could it happen? We’ll believe it when we see it.

theres no racist element at all, he's a cock, end of. The fact that he is black has no relevance at all. There'll be plenty of fantastic artists of all ethnicities there, nobody is raving against them.

Where's the outcry against Lionel Ritchie? There isnt one.

Well, the guy who started the petition called Kanye's BRITS performance 'just threatening'.
