our thoughts of ZZ Top being third on the Pyramid could be off, which would leave an open slot for either Beck or Tame Impala to fit in above them (the other taking the Sunday third slot). although i do agree the lineup is looking awfully jam packed up top as it is

Muse, Foals, Tame Impala, ZZ Top

Adele, Radiohead, Last Shadow Puppets, Madness

Coldplay, Ellie Goulding, Beck, ELO

an insanely strong top lineup regardless of it it's to your taste, even if you remove Radiohead from the equation

That makes sense, although i thought Madness were on the Sunday. Dunno why I think though, mind.

I think the Radiohead rumour is simply that they're playing, and the Adele sub thing is just a weird theory.

Definitely think they can sub the Pyramid. They're bigger than or on a level with most recent Pyramid subs, Could even be third down that day as we don't actually know The Last Shadow Puppets are third down Saturday; it's just a theory again.

Didn't Neil's latest Radiohead info suggest they were subbing Adele?

Obviously I'm biased but I couldn't see Tame Impala subbing Adele, so I don't think this effects the Saturday sub at all. I think it does call into questions the three 3rd Pyramid acts, all of which, while having strong acts against them in our predictions, are up for grabs in terms of availability.

The only possible slot, and I reckon it's very unlikely, for Radiohead is subbing Adele. It's fucking annoying this. Basically one of those c**ty jigsaws made up of only clouds and sky.

That does look like Tame Impala will be there. Where they play I don't know, either before or after Foals makes most sense to me although it could be Park or even a massive booking for John Peel stage. To be honest I don't care where they play (assuming they do play) as long as they play and we all know about it is all that matters.

I'm not going to get carried away with this but it will be ace if they do end up playing! 3rd would work but they're definitely big enough to play 2nd IMO as they have quite an impressive collection of well known songs now.

they could maybe sub at a push but i think third is a far more comfortable spot for them, especially if we're talking about subbing Adele (which is seemingly the only sub spot left). between Foals and ZZ Top makes the most sense to me

So if Tame Impala and Radiohead played, we'd be looking at something like this? Seems outrageously strong.

Muse / Foals / Beck / ZZ Top / Skepta / Wolf Alice

Disclosure / Bastille / Catfish and the Bottlemen / The Lumineers

Underworld

Two Door Cinema Club

Sigur Rós

Adele / Radiohead / The Last Shadow Puppets / Madness / Jess Glynne

New Order / CHVRCHES / The 1975

James Blake

Fatboy Slim

Charles Hazelwood Orchestra

Coldplay / Ellie Goulding / Tame Impala / Jeff Lynne's ELO / Laura Mvula / Cyndi Lauper

LCD Soundsystem / Bring Me The Horizon / PJ Harvey / Years and Years

Earth, Wind and Fire

Jake Bugg

Bat For Lashes

They're definitely not playing above Foals. Foals are headlining Reading and Leeds this year.

No chance they will be after Foals but before them seems most likely at the moment

I don't get why Radiohead subbing would be a good thing in terms of Adele and her fears. She had these issues in the past but surely if she's thinking I'm following on from Radiohead she will be bricking it more than tame impala for example

I doubt they're taking her fears into account when choosing her sub. If Radiohead are available to book as a sub they'll book them.

No I don't think so - he just called it a "not-unreasonable-assumption". It just stems from this belief that Radiohead can only play before Adele because they're supposedly too big for secret sets and stuff.

Also, not wanting to quote your big prediction post, but there's nothing really tying Beck to the Pyramid Stage now. D'Angelo was in the mix on the poster among those acts believed to be on the Pyramid and now it's clear he was meant to be headlining West Holts but dropped out. Could well be headlining John Peel or something and Tame Impala nicks a third down placing off him.

i doubt they're gonna tell Radiohead 'sorry lads, you can't play for Adele is scared that you'll totally outdo her'. tbh, to a high portion of people in that crowd Radiohead will be nothing but an annoyance they have to endure before Adele

TDCC has said on Twitter they're not headlining the JP, so that's an open slot.

Oh I hadn't seen that. They'll be Pyramid or Other then which leaves another act to fit in there

Didn't realise sticking my prediction into the clashfinder would draw an article from the Independent and a tweet from TDCC
