Not saying it will happen BUT, Kevin Parker was there last year with Mark Ronson and Tame Impala didn't play.

Tame Impala weren't doing the European festival circuit last year though.

One of our 2 main pieces of information regarding Disclosure headlining the Other Stage on Friday is that Bastille are subbing them.

I don't know if this is a stupid suggestion but could Tame Impala possibly be doing a secret slot instead? If it's a bit hard to fit them in as it is.

Sawdusty Surfer did mention a secret set on Saturday that isn't a gigantic name but is big enough that it'll probably get closed off due to crowd size...

or hinted at something like that

Disclosure and LCD's are both up in the air imo. Just trying to think outside the box, that info wasn't at all solid as far as I can remember?

i think TDCC could take a Vaccines-esque drop and play something like fourth on Other so i wouldn't worry too much about them when trying to work all this out. they're ain't taking up a prominent slot

Just thinking actually, could they do the Cribs/Blondie/Hives slot on the Other?

came from a member of the band apparently, so as good as you're gonna get if it's true. wouldn't be surprised to see Friday Other go TDCC > Lumineers > Bastille > Disclosure or something similar

It was someone being told by Bastille's frontman (I think) that they're subbing Disclosure. Obviously the guy who posted it could have been chatting shit but if Disclosure do end up being Friday Other headliners I'd expect that info to also be true; would be a big coincidence if not.

Would make a lot more sense with The Lumineers taken out, to me. TDCC below them seems baffling.

guess Lumineers could be our missing JP headliner for that night then, but considering they're almost definitely playing Friday (or so says their tour schedule) you'd have to assume they're either headlining JP or pretty high up Other. doesn't seem that baffling to me though - Lumineers have had a lot of current success whereas TDCC don't seem to have done anything for a while (although obviously you'd assume the new album must be coming soon, as well as Bastille's)

They self confirmed for Other Stage "sunset slot" (I know that last detail is vague because sun sets during the sub).

Yeah but they did say on the Radio that they're playing the sunset slot on Other (although they did say Sunday, but I just assume they got the day wrong).

Lumineers have personally said they're playing the "sunset slot" on the other stage.

ah i totally forgot that they'd specifically mentioned Other. what slot is the sunset slot then? subbing or third i'd have thought?

Tame Impala could be 3rd Pyramid on Saturday, with TLSP headlining JP?

Fatboy Slim seemingly headlining that night

Personally i'd say it's subbing but my guess is that they're 3rd down and too used to the sun in winter time.

I think we need to be more open minded to crazy options :P It seems as some of what we thought in terms of placements could be inaccurate.

It was all set in stone a month ago, now there are loads of spanners flying around.

It's amazing how amazing the lineup looks if you add two bands and shimmy around some of the predicted placements.

  • 2 weeks later...

Hugely chuffed they're playing and will enjoy seeing them again, anyone else holding a slight fear it might be a little subdued due to who they are subbing tho?

i loved the last 2 times I saw them at bestival and in Manchester. But it was all about them and it was a special atmosphere for both.

Just fear that the front area may be full of Adele fans who've been there all day and aren't interested.

i just hope there's as many like minded people on here who will really get involved near the front and make it really special. I can't wait to see them again!  See you at the front folks :)

    • Not necessarily but it should be, Download have a habit of messing it uo when others get the bookings on point. Good Charlotte I doubt are playing 3rd down and that too 3 that day while dreamy is too strong. I think you'd have one another day to help sell weekend tickets. I also doubt Papa Roach play.
    • Here's a bit of a wild stab, few placings may be off, and for all I know half of these won't actually be touring next year, but screw it, it's a bit of fun   Pyramid: Sabrina Carpenter, Phoebe Bridgers, TBA (Florence + The Machine), Garbage, The Last Dinner Party, Interpol, Alex James Britpop Classical Other: Chase & Status, Teddy Swims, Clairo, The Kooks, Zara Larsson, Kingfishr, Sports Team, Orbital West Holts: Robyn, Baby Keem, De La Soul, Deltron 3030, JID, Dua Saleh, kwn, Daniela Latila Woodsies: Bonobo, Darkside, TBA (Tame Impala), Laufey, Warmduscher, Wednesday, The Lottery Winners, The Royston Club, Florence Road Park: Patti Smith, Super Furry Animals, Slayyyter, The Cardigans, Skye Newman, Kelly Lee Owens, Teen Jesus & The Jean Teasers   Pyramid: Harry Styles, The xx, Richard Ashcroft, The Pogues, Jessie J, Sigrid, Travis Other: Rosalia, Sombr, Mitski, Alex Warren, Holly Humberstone, Cat Burns, Pale Waves, Yard Act West Holts: Basement Jaxx, Elyanna, Clipse, L’Imperatrice, Nation of Language, Jim Legxacy, Yazmin Lacey, RIP Magic Woodsies: Suede, Chvrches, Bleachers, MUNA, The Cribs, Keo, Bleech 9:3, The Lilacs Park: MARINA, Magdalena Bay, Jacob Alon, TBA (Lily Allen performs West End Girl), Getdown Services, Isaac Wood, Snail Mail, Madra Salach Pyramid: Sam Fender, Hozier, David Byrne, Cher, Obongjayar, David Gray, Billy Ocean Other: Doja Cat, Deftones, Addison Rae, Ren, Viagra Boys, Maisie Peters, The Reytons, Hard Life West Holts: Kano, Thievery Corporation, Angine De Poitrine, Thee Sacred Souls, Brooke Combe, Sasha Keable, Master Peace Woodsies: The Wombats, Metronomy, Geese*, Dry Cleaning, EsDeeKid, Sienna Spiro, Cowboy Hunters, Radio Free Alice Park: Big Thief, Laura Marling, MJ Lenderman, Richard Dawson, Oklou, Maruja, Dead Dads Club, Ratboys   *There's always one band booked for Woodsies that ends up being massively under-billed and gets shut down really early. They'd be better off playing somewhere like Other sub, but I could see the G getting them to play a smaller stage while it's still possible
