Been watching quite a few live sets recently. A number from Burning Man have been shared and the Lee Burridge one from Robot Heart is my favourite:

Carl Cox from Mayan Warrior is also really nice (if you ignore the people dancing next to him):

Might not be up everyone's street but this came on yesterday. At the very least, the venue is pretty mad:

Went to Max Coopers new show in Bristol last night. Brilliant. He has added another screen and lazers. New tracks sounding great live.

Good to have my dancing shoes on and let loose a little.

Met him after and he will be in the Glade but with just one screen and no lazers sadly. DJ set somewhere too

While great to get him on the bill - can't help feeling IICON should be the place.  He will still smash a Glade set though -

Im not sure Glasto will get a true Max Cooper experience unless he can graduate himself to be a West Holts Headliner - which I hope he does.

Very true and WH would be fantastic.

Oh, also said he was looking to release the Ambient set he did up in the woods, which was a cracker

Also, and I've only done a few sets in the new Glade, the sound is 'alright', but not stellar. Avery and Fearless sounded pretty good, though there was sooo much talking and the vibe was a little bit iffy.

Max Cooper on Lonely Hearts was really excellent, as the sound did him justice (and the visuals were superb). In fact, that run of Ben Böhmer > Max Cooper > Helena Hauff (best set of the festival, for me) > Daniel Avery was incredible. Still very cross at my decision to drag the gang to the SEC to try, and only to fail, to see (FKA) Scalping, rather than staying for all of DA. Stupid boy.

The sound is great but the crowds are often shite. I preferred the old Glade but I understand why they had to change.

I suppose it's time to start paying attention to this forum again, what are we all hoping for this year? And yes, that Helena Hauff set was amazing. Wouldn't mind if she get booked again, 2am to 4am on IICON would suit her like Stingray last year I think.

Oh my days. That would be an absolute dream. Two hours of Helena Vinyl x Old Big 'ead. Ja, danke.

    • TOP 10 acts (top 5 in bold😞   Blood Orange (ciutat)   Guitarricadelafuente   Oklou - Looks like I'm capable of enjoying music in the rain after all, just not the whole night.   Rilo Kiley   The Cure   Jade   Depresión Sonora   Gelli Haha (Parc del Forum) - Her music never really clicked with me. Until I saw her live.   MARINA   Six Sex (ciutat) - I was shocked how supersmall the venue was and that almost everyone (except for me) knew every word of every song (including the ones that were released this weekend!).   Honorable mention:   Ashnikko - missed the first 15 minutes (because of Gelli Haha) and I'm not really a fan of her music, but the show was an absolute blast.
    • Totally agree about PinkPantheress stage choice. 'Luckily' for me, one of my main targets, fakemink, was absolutely awful, meaning that I left early and was in a surprisingly good spot at Cupra before it got totally packed.
    • As many said before, not my favourite Primavera. sh*tty weather is something I'm not really used to when enjoying music. Poor communication (more than 1 hour long radio silence during the worst rain) didn't help, but the main problem was me. I decided to leave the venue after things seemed to be getting back to normal. Massive Attack were supposed to play again (with Hymn of the Big Wheel back on the setlist!) as were all other artists on the smaller stages (including Fcukers with one my favourite albums of the year). FOMO was at an all-time high. However, after 4 hours in the rain, I had to admit to myself that I'm not cut out for this. I wasn't even that soaked (water-proof jacket worked). I was just fed up with the rain, wind and cold and wasn't able to enjoy music anymore.   Also, they should stop ignoring the growth of some artists between signing them up and their actual performance. Both PinkPantheress and Ninajirachi sets were ruined for me by completely inadequate stage choice.   However, I felt very much the same way after the 2022 edition and have thoroughly enjoyed all subsequent editions. So I'm still buying early bird tickets for 2027 and hoping this was a hiccup not the start of a downward trend.
    • I will definitely be buying a 2027 early bird pass, partially because of the priority reservation privileges for the Ciutat sets. Hopefully the organization will take action to improve upon this year's failings. Because I thought the free water options and sound quality were an improvement over last year, so clearly they can actually implement positive changes.   I also hope all the douchebag chompers get in the sea, cause I was more bothered by them than in the past few years.   Highlights: The Cure, Ninajirachi, Knocked Loose, Current 93, Blood Orange.
