Don't remember there ever being any happy hardcore at Glasto in my ten visits going back to the late 90s. This is sort of close although not really

The DJ Producer is a living legend like, if he's on i'll be going to check him out

RE: Groove Armada... could they headline Silver Hayes if there is anything to the rumours around a rejig and line up?

That would leave Orbital, Fatboy and Groove Armada - would i be right thinking that its likely one of the headliners would be a bit more modern right?

And to bring things full circle back to @Freddyflintstonree's original request, I think you can hear a lot of this album in Bicep's sound.

That track Rain in particular feels like a direct nod to Last Train to Lhasa.

Totally agree. They clearly grew up on these compilations. I hear loads of subtle references to 90s prog house/ breaks stuff in Bicep. It's why they have an immediate appeal.

True - that's more than likely to be honest. I was getting all nostalgic! 😂

It’s annoyed me over the last few years that some of the DJs I’ve wanted to see were playing early Monday morning. vinylJunkie comes to mind. Im done in by then, and normally set off early Monday morning  in the car so have to get a sensible nights sleep Sunday.  4-6am Monday morning is for the hardcore

There is something special about genosys in monday morning daylight though, basically a field of swaying braindead zombies at that stage, just squeezing the last few drops out of the party.

Hi gang.

Long time lurker here, though I've met a few of the regulars in passing!

As we're in a sharing mood, I don't think I've seen this - Detroit Techno EP worth checking out if it's your kinda thing:

No one has drums that thump as beautifully as Robert or Lyric ❤️

Absolute club demolishers.

    • Orbital opening the Other stage is a bold choice!
    • Great start for them
    • Thanks so much - that's very helpful. Someone else mentioned getting a train from Loughborough to East Midlands Parkway, and then a festival shuttle from there to the site. I think they were then going to come back on the Skylink Derby to Loughborough - I assume this is because the trains don't run as late as the Skylink, otherwise they would just come back the same way they came?! Is the transport hub a long way from the main stage? Just wondering what time I would need to leave Linkin Park to be sure of getting a shuttle. As I say, I am sure it will all be clear on the day, even after a few beers! Just hope the rain stays away...
    • I really don't think they would put Olivia Rodrigo on Occident stage. If it was her, they would put her in earlier Mordor slot and move Big Thief or Little Simz to Occident.   Fontaines DC are more probable, but don't really match the hype. However, again, if the hype was real, the artist would end up in Mordor.   That being said, I would love to see Fontaines DC tonight.
    • After all the good advice on here I had a nice visit to the site earlier in the week.    Walked down from Pilton village to Hitchen Hill and down the footpath to the Wood by Woodies.    Really strange seeing the site empty of 100,000 people. There is far more hedges and woodland on the site than you remember when the festival is on. Can see the stone circle and some structures still up on site. And looks like Worthy View has some camping going on there during the summer too.   Lots was fenced off with electric fencing to help wth the cattle grazing. Is really amazing how they set up the site as its hard enough accessing the area by car and foot nevermind all the kit needed to set the festival up. As others said you can't walk the whole site but nice to see the site again after a few years away   Pilton is also a lovely village with a nice village hall shop and post office attached, and got to speak to some locals who told me a few tales of past festivals down the years. One house for sale there would be lovely to live in - if only I had £2 million going spare
