He seems like a really nice guy, and I've seen him a few times over the years, but Patrick Topping is always one that surprises me with how big he is, and the billings he gets (and the size of his label). Obviously this poster is in alphabetical order, but outside of this, Trick has some massive events.

I don't think the music matches the size. It's weird. Fair play to him though!

Saw him do a makina set last time on the farm... the best Ive seen him. Seen him 2 or 3 other times & it's always been ok, but that's it. Ok.

I remember being really impressed with a set he did at Motion once actually, finishing with Lovebirds - Want You In My Soul was a big ol’ vibe

The Makina thing completely passed me by as it wasn’t a known genre in Cornwall growing up, but all the footage of the Makina sets look absolutely bouncing haha

He did a more techno-y set at Printworks Redacted this year and it was the highlight for sure. I wouldn’t be a big fan of him typically, but he can hold a room for sure. Would imagine what he played there was very different to the commercialised stuff played at a Trick event.

Fantastic stuff. Im pondering where said curation could be, some ideas:

iicon? Seems too big and block 9 book it

temple?

wow?

whatever replaces the beat hotel?

stonebridge bar feels a bit small but they have done curated nights before.

Other answers on a postcard. Love a bit of mindless speculation.

Pangea... who do we want? The bigger names are on there. Who is realistic?

Night 1 - techno - Cirez D, Green Velvet, CDW, Enrico Sanguiliano, Amelie Lens?

Night 2 - House - Carl Cox, Eats Everything, Fat Boy Slim, Chemical Brothers?

Night 3 - drum n bass... (I know very little drum n bass, so whoever is big these days. Andy C?)

For the DnB night, I'd love to see AMC & Turno, Bou, Kanine, Hedex, Dillinja and let's get a Sherelle 160 jungle set on there too. We'll probably get Chase & Status, Andy C and Dimension, the usual big hitters.

I reckon you've got the other two nights pretty much spot on, actually. All the typical Arcadia heavyweights.

I'm just hoping for Cirez D tbh.

Wouldn't bet against Honey Dijon popping up after the Glasto live thing last year too.

I've been probing for the venue, I'm thinking the Gas Tower.

    • Hey everyone! My friend and I are heading over from Sweden to Tramlines this summer. We had our eyes on a bunch of different festivals in the UK, but since most of them sold out before we even knew if we’d be able to make the trip, we finally settled on Tramlines. Why Tramlines, you might ask? Well, because we’re absolutely crazy about British music, and finding a festival like this (where you also don’t have to camp, a huge plus) made it impossible not to buy a ticket. The fact that I’ll also get to see The Enemy after beeing a fan for 19 years didn’t hurt either.   Since the app doesn’t work over here… is the Clashfinder schedule 100% accurate? What’s the venue like, and what does the map look like? Which sides of the stages are best to stand on? How long does it take to walk between stages? What are the prices usually for food and drinks? Is it easy to get to the festival from town? And is it easy to get back into town? Is it allowed to walk around with a beer anywhere in the venue, or are there those stupid fenced-off bar areas? As you can tell, I need all kinds of info, so please share your best tips and tricks to make this the best festival experience possible.  I’d really appreciate it. Thanks in advance! 😃
    • A whole year of this!  What a time to be alive! This is going to be an incredible playlist.
    • Sorry matey.  Always a nightmare when you have a plan and something scuppers it.   Happy myself, fills a nice little gap for me. Lucky so far really.     I’d have preferred an alternative too to break up the 21 pilot set but shan’t complain
    • Happy with the name, unhappy with what it did to the lineup. Now I have to choose between Florence Road and Beirut 😞 and still no alternative to 21p.
    • Odd and rare for RW indeed! I even remember reading in the past that one of the reasons for certain bands not appearing there, were similar demands being rejected. It’s weird that they play after Gorillaz and even more weird that there won’t be an alternative. All they had to do was push Pixies to later.
