Getting over a break up?

In what way?

to see how devastated he's been by the break-up, to hear him beg her to take him back.

Everybody likes to feel desired and wanted. And what better way of showing that is there than for someone's life to fall apart because they are no longer with her?

of course it will be shrouded by her saying she is just worried about him or somesuch.

precisely. All I've ever seen him say is that he's ignoring her

I think he's said she's text him a few times. It would be pretty hard to delete a text without succumbing to the temptation of reading it. I reckon he has been reading/listening at least some of her messages (hopefully he will confirm).

I haven't read anything from Couchy to suggest he'd be off his nut to consider it

there's been lots of curious interpretations of her motivations which have confused me

I have.

He's made it clear to her he wants to be left alone. She's disregarded that despite the early contact making it clear he's been really struggling.

Which says nothing about what she has said to him

We dont know what she's said, hence the fact we are speculating and making assumptions.

Personally, I think it is more likely to be "hows it goin hun?" "Y R U ignoring me babe" general chit-chat bullshit rather than anything profound.

Just read through all this. As someone who really struggles with rejection it was interesting to read. I have always been the person dumped in all of my relationships and I really beat myself up about it. Recently dated my teenage crush and thought it was going to be happy ever after stuff but she broke it off twice within 6 months, feels like the equivalent of that saying 'Never meet your heroes".

"Never date your teenage crush 15 years later"

🤣

This is thread is absolute gold 😂 Literally reading it thinking 'fuck off, this is staged' or material for a new sitcom or something, and I'm only on page 5! I will be returning, so thank you for making my inevitable self isolation in the coming days a lot less drab.

P.s. was much more of a lurker when Russy was around, afraid he'd tear me a new one if I ever posted. Anyone know where he got to & if he'll ever return?

    • 1. Baby Dave - Billy 2. A - Prang   Not really got round to listening to many more in May so not really fair to vote but shoutout to EPs from Bleech 9:3 - Bleech 9:3 & Villanelle - Measly Means
    • Guitarricadelafuente was bloody brilliant tonight. This is going to be a very Spanish focussed year for me. Rusowsky dragging out Las Ketchup on Saturday has the potential to be a Prima magic moment.
    • £112 for standard entry. No thank you.
    • Meanwhile Gracie Abrams is £92 for the cheapest with the average price around £160 for lower tier and £103 standing.   First time in a while I've gone from a definite yes to a definite no on price alone.   Amble was £31 this morning.
