Getting over a break up?

Sleep is important. Sleep deprivation causes your brain to bypass the rational parts and you get more emotional.

Look up sleep deprivation and the amygdala, if you're interested.

Going on the pull is not great for going on the pull...

Yeah I realised that a couple of years ago. I'm never going to pay for it & if I'm not in the right place to shag around I've realised I'm comfortable with that. I'm not in a competition with mates or her, I just need to be happy & level headed again.

Or at a festival.

Then I'd say you need to concentrate on you and your future, and what it is exactly that you want from it. Compromise and you waste years of your life. I know, I've been there. Wishing you all the best. Yog.

My friend split with his missus for around three months, she slept with 10+ people because she could, he struggled getting 1 before getting back together.

Would you get back together with someone in that situation?

It could go either way & I'm not being horrible to either sex, it happened.

I wouldn't. I suspect that will play on his mind and be brought up every time they have argument.

Though maybe some people would be fine with it. Love is blind.

Well rebounding is one way of dealing with a break up but is the reason the guy only slept with one because the other girls weren't intrested?

Personally it depends on why the break up happened in the first place.

Sounds like it.

I'd be pretty bitter sat there thinking about my failed attempts to get my leg over even once while envisioning my girlfriend climbing aboard a dozen pork swords in a month!

It would never work, surely.

Never. I was really messed about by an ex girlfriend and put up with an awful lot of shit. I now realise why I allowed this shit to go on. Fortunately I have now resolved this mental issue, and am now strong enough to not let myself be taken advantage of again - although this is now unlikely as I now have a fiercely loyal loving wife.

I would seriously doubt whether your mates girlfriend has what would be deemed as appropriate feelings for the bloke. OK, it's her choice to sleep with 10+ blokes in three months, but it's almost callous to then go back to the bloke and fuck his head up all over again after the initial split.

10+ in 3 months..... 12 weeks?!

If you take into account for about 25% of that she was out of commission (unless she was taking it up the wrong) then thats just over 1 bloke per week. Mighty impressive.

And he got back with her? Whats his problem?

    • sub yes I could see but I don't think they get 1hr 15, a headliner starting at 18:15 though is unlikely. Even the recent co-headlines that have had like 1hr 15 then a 1hr 30 after were on 8pm or just before, you are trailing behind more than 1.5 hours then. In that scenario some 3rd down bands are only starting at 18:15 and some haven't lol. I agree they won't not book them due to this but it won't be 6 headliners. It would be 5 headliners and you wouldn't want to see 5 headliners booked but Biffy were to not be thouhgt of as an option for one. Wolf Alice on the other hand could sub no bother and you'd think nothing of it. I'm not so sure Biffy would get headline though after the festival choice in Kendal this year.
    • Definitely. UKIP also used Merkel welcoming 1 million Afgans to Europe in 2015 during the brexit vote.   Politicians in other countries within the EU know the are going to lose voters to parties to the right of them over stuff like this and they've no control over it.
    • I think it will very much vary on who there is to book who they know will sell out a day.    They’ve co-headline and full headline stuff in future, there no reason at all they won’t do it again, even if it means cutting someone’s set by 15 mins or having a band less in a big bands day…   They’re not going to not book Foo fighters and instead get the equivalent of Florence and C&S just to not have a band do a big set…   …unless of course they think it will make them more money…
    • Maybe some right wing leaders like Meloni are just playing to their base, like Reform have been here talking about them ending up at Calais.
    • Citizenship via investment programs basically work by saying if you invest this much in our economy (say buy a property worth x) then we will either grant you citizenship or residency with a route to it. The EU has rules on how low countries can set the bar. Montenegro was one of the easier ones to get and they've had to tighten it up.
