As much as I dislike Ed Sheeran, I think the next time he plays it he will headline it. He was third from the top last year so seems inevitable he will headline it next time he plays. 2015 isn't the year though. Too much of a tight schedule to fly back to and from the US.

2017 is the fallow year right?

Ed Sheeran to headline in 2018 after releasing his 3rd album. Written in the stars.

So you've predicted every band in the world so far for this year and now you've moved on to 2018? Fucking hell Matt, give it a rest son!

Well i got two tickets for the first night for me and my sister intending going just once, you could buy four tickets, that first night was so good I bought a second ticket online just by watching the site they were coming up a few at a time , and for the last night I went to london the day before and qued up all night with a sleeping bag . actually at about 1 in the morning the promoter came out and took names of the about a dozen people and said he would get us tickets so I was able to go and sleep on a fans mothers floor

I met one women who had been every night.

Why well originally I thought just go once but I really wanted to go the other two nights she is my favourite artist, and would have travelled to australia to see her

Okay, queuing overnight on the off chance of getting a ticket is fair enough, that's some serious dedication, but that woman who'd been every single night would have pissed me off, I just think that's selfish.

saw her show three times opening night middle of the run and last night, and even if she just sang she would be the best headliner we could hope for,

she very likely wont want to do it . for years before she did before the dawn I have been saying she could be a great headliner . Glastonbury really would be mad if they don't try to book her even if she says no lots of times one year she might do it .

People would be surprised how popular she would be, shes very theatrical so might not want to do a hugh venue without the theatre element so we might never see her. but if she wanted to she would be great. her voice in BTD even for a fan was much better than you expected never seen more people crying because of the emotion of the concert, and no phones in the air

All I want to know is how you got the tickets? It was worse than T Day

Why isn't kylie Minogue being mentioned more? She's in the UK at the right time, and they said they would re-book her after she cancelled a few years ago.

Plus I had a dream she was announced as Sunday headliner, so it's pretty much confirmed in my mind.

Well if we are going on sales why not pitch for mcbusted to headline? Or Britney spears? Or Justin bieber? There is a lot more to good music then commercal success. And comparing Madonna a pop star to Elvis is just laughable

I wasn't going merely on sales, you stated that she wasn't 'big' enough, I was pointing out the facts. By all means state that you don't personally like her, but it doesn't change the facts.

Elvis is arguably the most popular male music star of all time, Madonna is the most popular female music star of all time, the comparison is already there... Of course there is an argument to make that Madonna has more talent than Elvis because she writes a lot of her own material, but that's an argument for another day.

Not sure that Kylie is big enough anymore. She's playing my local racecourse in early summer so think here star may have faded a little.

Madonna is definitely big enough, there's no question - in the world of Pop, she's pretty much out there on her own, she's been a trendsetter throughout much of her career, and hasn't been afraid to reinvent herself constantly. I personally wouldn't be that fussed, but she's sold more records than anyone in history apart from The Beatles, Elvis and Michael Jackson. And she's known for putting on a brilliant show (when her cape doesn't fail her! lol). To question whether she's big enough is ridiculous - and to compare McBusted, Bieber, etc - well come back with that when they've been going at the top for 30 years!

Saying that, I wouldn't be excited if she was announced, as she's not my cup of tea - although Like a Prayer went down a treat at my mates wedding when everyone was pissed!

I'm currently listening to mule variations - soon to be followed by closing time.

I'm taking this as a sign. Tom waits will be the sunday headliner.

Bought closing time this morning on vinyl, 12 quid. Bargain. Got some of my favourite Waits songs on it.

My last waits vinyl purchase was Alice.

Think that's right up your chilled waits street.

Martha and hope I don't fall in love with you are two of my favourite songs - never mind favourite Waits songs.

yep, those are the two that do it for me, 'Hope that i don't fall in love' is almost perfect, and perhap even more perfect becuase it contains one flaw I can't overlook, the dreadful crowbarring of the word 'stout' in there to make the rhyme. But I think that just makes me love it even more.

I don't want any nasty surprises, so....

I am about to scrape the bottom of the barrel more than has ever been scraped before!

Which of the following not-really-big-enough acts can we rule out by availability alone?

Calvin Harris

Biffy Clyro

The Prodigy

Noel Gallagher

Elbow

Paolo Nutini

Ellie Goulding

Queens of the Stone Age

Foals

Snow Patrol

The Strokes

Pulp

Bruno Mars

Linkin Park

Pharrell Williams

Rudimental
