i'm not saying they're not huge and wouldn't headline, but not the greatest example - they absolutely bombed at Coachella. Americans didn't have a fucking clue who they were

They did bomb yes, much like Blur. Both were seen as WTF bookings. Arguably though, The Roses when I was there had just a tad bigger crowd. If you were down the front with people who cared it was great fun!

Where did Big Vern get his info from, anyone? I can't be arsed to filter through the absolute bollocks of the last few pages.

His mate is a roadie for the roses. He. worded it as - "someone who tunes the guitars" I think.

Says he has been rehired and told him the band are doing Glastonbury. Said he was told about Warrington before that happened too.

Maybe he could try tuning Ian Brown's voice after he's done the guitars. Perhaps Kanye would leave his auto-tune behind if they asked nicely.

Still don't see this happening.

Lets hope by the time I get out of bed this afternoon, the Roses have been confirmed. That would certainly nullify the pain of a weekend night shift.

Two things

1) what a c**t. Get the fuck out and don't come back.

2) can't really see the SR thing happening. What's in it for them? No doubt the Eavii would snap them up but I'd be relatively surprised if this actually happens.

Cheers Neil. I wasn't only focussed on that persons posts. I read them all. But they were there, I read them and I found the poster offensive. Anyways, he's gone now :)

I still think it's going to be a big name like P***** or Madge for the Sunday.

Don't dash our hopes mate. After a long winter of rumoured head bangers or pop princesses, the Roses rumour/made up story is like a breath of fresh air.

There might not be the 7 figure pay packet that comes at other festivals, BUT (and its a big but) maybe they feel they owe the festival one after having to drop out when Squire broke his arm.

Exposure via the BBC.....good promotion for their new material?

Just saying.....I don't think it will happen either. I'm not even sure about the new material bit

Why's he not just called Sean? I thought he might be called Big Sean as he was carrying a few pounds but he's not.

I think that's his favourite Tom hanks film. There's another rapper called gump Sean

hmm Big Vern's info puts a little more gas in to this rumour, but along with most others, i still don't see it happening (although if they do headline i definitely think it'll be along with a new album - somebody did mention a few weeks back that they'd ran in to Reni and he'd said the new album was still due this year as planned - i just think the album will be shit and nobody will want to hear it live)

Does the lack of announcement give us any hope that it'll be P*****, what with his aversion to having his name used to sell tickets, or does it just mean they're doing a good job keeping a lid on it this year I suspect it's the second one)

On the West Holts facebook they have said that their lineup is complete and that they can't wait to share it all come announcement day... Someone then asked when announcement day is, and WH responded that the date hasn't been set yet, but it won't be long.

So no poster today then!!
