I'm sure it was announced that they would reveal the head liners on 1st April?

To be more exact (which then got misquoted by NME and others) they said it'd be after the 1st of April.

Mate I did exactly the same, thought Atoms for Peace were nailed on and in the end we stood there for 20 minutes watching some guys pack up a stage! They should have announced earlier that there wasn't a secret set on

Everything pointed towards there not being a secret set on, and on here it was debunked a number of times wasn't it? No idea why people bothered to go to the Park on the Sunday night - heard loads of kids talking about going up there to see Daft Punk while I was watching Smashing Pumpkins.

it's possible that the odd headliner might not have been fully signed off until early in the year, but anyone who doesn't think that most headliners are already booked well before Xmas is living in dreamland.

Arcade Fire were announced in December, they'll have been basically "booked" since the Autumn...

Little point one believes them when they do say it, even when all the signs/twitter info account and the band board said the special guest on Arcadia the other year was going be Chase & Status there was boatloads of people convinced it was going be Daft Punk. (Even afterwards to!)
