He might be announcing he is finally releasing his book on his research.

Great stuff. Just what the world has been crying out for, a thoroughly researched book to tell us the best way to download child porn.

Other Stage headliner gets about an hour just like the other two days doesn't it? still too short, mind, but don't think it's any shorter than for the rest of the weekend

Is it really always so short? I thought it was just the Sunday, maybe starting earlier makes it feel shorter, dunno. I had a look on Clashfinder and it seems it's around 1:15 each night, but some years the Sunday is 5 or 10 minutes shorter.

is it only just over the hour and a half mark? I dunno, because I've not seen many, but Springsteen semed to go on for years. Felt like he started sometime on Saturday evening and finished on about Tuesday afternoon.

Played 'til 0039 and earned Eavi a £3000 fine for over-running the curfew by 9 minutes.

he also had a knock on effect where i was in the dance village, where everything was quieter than usual because "bruce has all the decibels"..

even when avoiding him, i couldn't avoid him.

It was lovely in the JP, like a private performance iirc

I contacted venue in Paris about the who date being cancelled/rescheduled and they said no info on their side about it. Guess they would have to say this tho.

Have dates defo being changed or is that just media speculation?

A new date has been added on the 30th June, but no dates have been cancelled/changed yet.

I'm far too tender and emotional after that fucking preposterous weekend to come on here to find someone questioning people going to watch Hot Chip, I'm flabbergasted and quite frankly upset by said stupidty

In a recent online interview Madonna was asked if she'll be playing any festivals this year to which she replied 'maybe' & then winked, she then went on to say how much she liked performing outdoors in parks & big open spaces.

Gives me hope that she might headline one year.

Really hope The Who is a smokescreen and its Madonna this year, but it's looking like its 98% chance of being The Who now.

Such an overreaction. A band you don't like so overwhelming criticism. If a band you liked did it you wouldn't care less.

Furthermore you choose to watch hot chip. Hot Chip!

I think if The Who do headline it'd be a great night.

It is the best they could have hoped for, far more realistic than fantasy world stuff like Bowie, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, The Who are still on top of their game so will put on a great show

Spot on. You will not see a better live show at this point in time.It is a Who fan's dream come true and I only got to see part of it.

For the first time since AC/DC were a no go for Glasto i feel excited about the festival

If The Who is just a smokescreen for fucking Taylor Swift i will not be a happy bunny

The Who are one of the few acts that can adequately fill her slot (now then, now then)

He's giving a special guest reading of it in the kidz field Sunday afternoon

Gigs get cancelled for business reasons all the time, and usually for reasons far more trivial than this. It sucks for the folk in Paris, but there isn't some sacred and inviolable contract made between a band and their fans when a concert is arranged that The Who are now guilty of breaking. A month's notice is a little tight time wise, but it's plenty more time than plenty of other cancellations that happen on a daily basis.

Sure, but the flip side is I know plenty of acts that just wouldn't do it, because they have a different attitude towards their fans. Doesn't make the ones that do evil, but some certainly set a higher bar.

IIRC it was about two and a half on the current tour.

I saw them do Quadrophenia in Hyde Park yonks ago and was hugely disappointed (unsurprisingly I guess).

I got dragged along to the Birmingham gig last November at a few hours notice and was rather astounded at how good they were. Daltrey's voice was still ace, the rest of the band were tight. Stage production was superb including a cleverly inserted solo from the Ox.

And they were very, very loud.

Thanks for posting this. I quite enjoyed that Hyde Park show myself but the current Who is all about going back to their roots. Pete hasn't played this ferociously in years and they have regained a bit of the old us against the World attitude. If they are on it will be a loud and spectacular assault on the senses.

    • Hey everyone! My friend and I are heading over from Sweden to Tramlines this summer. We had our eyes on a bunch of different festivals in the UK, but since most of them sold out before we even knew if we’d be able to make the trip, we finally settled on Tramlines. Why Tramlines, you might ask? Well, because we’re absolutely crazy about British music, and finding a festival like this (where you also don’t have to camp, a huge plus) made it impossible not to buy a ticket. The fact that I’ll also get to see The Enemy after beeing a fan for 19 years didn’t hurt either.   Since the app doesn’t work over here… is the Clashfinder schedule 100% accurate? What’s the venue like, and what does the map look like? Which sides of the stages are best to stand on? How long does it take to walk between stages? What are the prices usually for food and drinks? Is it easy to get to the festival from town? And is it easy to get back into town? Is it allowed to walk around with a beer anywhere in the venue, or are there those stupid fenced-off bar areas? As you can tell, I need all kinds of info, so please share your best tips and tricks to make this the best festival experience possible.  I’d really appreciate it. Thanks in advance! 😃
    • A whole year of this!  What a time to be alive! This is going to be an incredible playlist.
    • Sorry matey.  Always a nightmare when you have a plan and something scuppers it.   Happy myself, fills a nice little gap for me. Lucky so far really.     I’d have preferred an alternative too to break up the 21 pilot set but shan’t complain
    • Happy with the name, unhappy with what it did to the lineup. Now I have to choose between Florence Road and Beirut 😞 and still no alternative to 21p.
    • Odd and rare for RW indeed! I even remember reading in the past that one of the reasons for certain bands not appearing there, were similar demands being rejected. It’s weird that they play after Gorillaz and even more weird that there won’t be an alternative. All they had to do was push Pixies to later.
