To update a single web page it takes one file to be moved by FTP

Just a thought, i'd imagine it's very unlikely they simply push a button and the lineup comes up at 7pm. Potentially they are building the webpage and have it ready and waiting for tonight... wishful thinking.

Yeah i'l settle down.

Depends how Glastonbury and their web team decide to edit the pages
The website uses the wordpress platform with a customised template by Pretty Good Digital
They could just be using the visual editor in wordpress, simply uploading the lineup image moments before it goes live. Edit the page and update page at the desired time

Is this what you heard yesterday or new info on top of what you heard yesterday that made you question Prince?

something new.

And if his Flo source is where he's told me it is, it should be good. Then again, that person might not actually know and could be presuming - and given the general secrecy, I wouldn't be surprised.

After all, each person that gets told is another person who could leak it, and anyone who does get told is likely to tell at least one other person.

How many more times, Prince does not have an issue with a festival he's actually playing selling tickets off the back of his name...

His issue was that he felt Glastonbury allow people to believe he's playing & so sell tickets off the back of untrue rumours. Whether or not there is any truth in that is a different debate.

Truth to what?

Glasters using Prince rumours to sell tickets? Well thats 100% horse. It sells out before the Purple frenzy happens each year.

Or him having this non-issue paranoid issue? Who the fuck knows? Its Prince............I dont think he knows what he thinks, let alone anyone else.............

He is an utter loop ball

Has anyone made a jump in position as big as that without any new material?

Not that I can think of - but his album only came out on 20th June last year, so I supoose you could argue he's had a new album since he played, as most people wouldn't have heard it when he played last year.

The only way for it to be Florence and for Emily to have not outright lied is if someone else fell through.

I've just re-read the interview, and Emily didn't say that "She isn't headlining, but she might be", which could imply that it wasn't arranged at the time but was a possibility for the future. She said "She's not going to be headlining, but she could be" which is a lot more definite.

I wouldn't be so fussed if it's Florence. I'll already be at the Pyramid the night before, so Florence would give me the opportunity to explore elsewhere on Sunday night. I really fancy the idea of enjoying one of the much smaller stages and take in a far more low-key event at that point. Last year I really wasn't up for anything massive on Sunday and ended up aimlessly ambling around not really seeing anything.

Then again, if it's Prince/Madonna/Swift, I'll be there with bells on.

Persoanlly I see no difference in either statement.

But what Emily did say means that she is not booked but could headline

I do wonder if the 3rd headliner, when announced, and if they are perceived to be weak by the masses will it/could it have a knock on negative effect on the fest? Not detrimental of course..............but negative none the less

There is plenty of folk not too happy with what is already headlining. There is disgruntled folk who are impatient about the lack of announcement thus far. There is potential that a lot of balances were not paid (idle speculation and guess work mostly there) and there is a build up to this 3rd headliner the likes no one has seen wrt a headliner for Glasters in a long time if ever, so much so, its beginning to spill outside of forum obsessives and the likes.................

I just wonder if it is a Flo type shite act if Glasto has ended up playing this all wrong and hurt itself? Could we see a return to not selling out straight away? Or is that crazy talk?

is this source better or worse than the one(s?) that told you that Florence wouldn't be headlining?

Headlined IOW a couple of years ago didn't he?

And he was very good. Played a hit-heavy setlist - if he replicated it at Glastonbury I'm sure it'd go down well. Plenty of songs to draw casual people in and plenty that more hardcore fans would enjoy. Threw in a cover of 'Handle with Care' by the Travelling Wilburys too.

    • Hot on the heels of outdoor gig number 1, the second arrived quickly! Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds in Malahide last night (lovely sunny evening for it!). As usual, fantastic gig (ebbed and flowed from tender to feral). Since they aren't touring an album it was very different to the Wild God shows from last year, with a bunch of tracks that hadn't been played in a good while wheeled out. Highlights for me were a blistering rendition of Hiding All Away (that merged into the end of White Elephant) and a touching interpretation of A Rainy Night in Soho to close the set (well after curfew!). @Superscally, still nothing from Dig, Lazarus, Dig!!! (they really must not like that album!)
    • I’m putting the 2026 code and it’s not applying the discount. Does somebody know why?
    • I think I’ve asked this before, but do we know why this is a ‘never happen’ one? I understand with Queen and Duran Duran, but I’ve never seen anything written saying one way or another if they’d do it. Would be an incredible get.
    • Here we goooo!   I never thought I'd say this at Prima Porto, famous for its rainy weather... I wish it'd be a bit colder ;D
    • I saw an interview the other day with Simon and he was asked about Glastonbury legends spot and he did say they consider themselves headliners and also said something like "The legends slot is a kind of headline slot" The actual wording might be slightly different but it gave an indication that maybe?
