Yeah I reckon Alt-J will slot under Flo on the Pyramid. Wouldn't look too out of place third down if Flo is subbing, but also would be a strong enough sub if Flo gets the bump up.

Ed Sheeran was third down sunday, so yeah it's not impossible for them to get a strong act third down.

and I now do have something placing the piddling purple prat in the area!

I can't verify anything of what I've just been told, but it's more than I've had up till now.

Great news for us prat fans.

Amongst all this "Other Stage Headliner" chat, what happened to Hot Chip? I thought they were a shoe-in?

as a headliner? nah, that was always wishful thinking on everybody's parts - wouldn't be surprised if they headlined JP or subbed Other again

somebody came on and said they had info Prince was in London around June time so i'm guessing it's something similar. good stuff

just seems odd they would self confirm someone for the festival UNLESS that act had the go ahead to be announced, maybe i'm clutching at straws tho

I reckon that all it is is that they've had an act book themselves in telling the venue it's a Glasto warm up show, and the venue has repeated that.

I don't think he's big enough for that sort of slot anymore but he's playing Holland that day anyway. I reckon he'll be 3rd/4th down on the Pyramid on the Friday.

yep that's where i see him, with something slightly less 'rawk' slotted between him and Foos

It could be Courtney Barnett actually. Already common knowledge she's playing.

quite possibly yeah, either way we will have another name to add to the line up tomorrow!

though watch Prince (if he were to be potentially playing) cancel after hitting up the forum and seeing eFests calling him a 'piddling prat' on here.

I don't think I spoke to a single person that night who was at C&S.

Anyone on here go? Curious to know how busy it was (not curious enough to endure any footage).

My sister went, she said the crowd was massive and she loved.

Bare in mind she got so drunk we had to take her back to the tent, and because we were camped in oxylers she watched them from the tent.

Interesting! When you talk about him being in London, are we talking big London? (i.e. Hyde Park or whatever) Or are we talking small-scale London as a warm-up? Cos I could still see the little bastard doing the former and avoiding the festival.

Was about to say, could be her or Father John Misty, probably the right size act for it to be 'huge' to a very small venue but already common knowledge for G.

    • sub yes I could see but I don't think they get 1hr 15, a headliner starting at 18:15 though is unlikely. Even the recent co-headlines that have had like 1hr 15 then a 1hr 30 after were on 8pm or just before, you are trailing behind more than 1.5 hours then. In that scenario some 3rd down bands are only starting at 18:15 and some haven't lol. I agree they won't not book them due to this but it won't be 6 headliners. It would be 5 headliners and you wouldn't want to see 5 headliners booked but Biffy were to not be thouhgt of as an option for one. Wolf Alice on the other hand could sub no bother and you'd think nothing of it. I'm not so sure Biffy would get headline though after the festival choice in Kendal this year.
    • Definitely. UKIP also used Merkel welcoming 1 million Afgans to Europe in 2015 during the brexit vote.   Politicians in other countries within the EU know the are going to lose voters to parties to the right of them over stuff like this and they've no control over it.
    • I think it will very much vary on who there is to book who they know will sell out a day.    They’ve co-headline and full headline stuff in future, there no reason at all they won’t do it again, even if it means cutting someone’s set by 15 mins or having a band less in a big bands day…   They’re not going to not book Foo fighters and instead get the equivalent of Florence and C&S just to not have a band do a big set…   …unless of course they think it will make them more money…
    • Maybe some right wing leaders like Meloni are just playing to their base, like Reform have been here talking about them ending up at Calais.
