Foals ?

Noticed they've actually been on the rumours page as a pyramid act, can't remember if they've been ruled out here before however..

would live up to the comment about Glasto wanting to bump up smaller acts also?

Definitely wouldn't headline before the release of this album, they'd need to album to be another massive hit to headline, they'll probably top R/L soon, I'm not quite sure why they are listed as pyramid, although I would take the, on any stage

shes big enough yes...if judging from the past heights of her career(hands up who can name a single madonna song post oh...2004?)...

I would guess most people could name more post 2004 songs by Madonna than Arcade Fire, Foo Fighters or Kanye West. She's had seven top ten singles, three of which were number 1 since 2004. The idea that Madonna is irrelevant to a Glastonbury audience is laughable.

So after about 25 pages today nothing has changed, glastonbury need to put us out of our misery

It's hardly the organisers fault this thread has gone round in circles today. After last week's announcement and reaction I'm hoping it is soon. Just to stop that petition getting more publicity

have been on hiatus/recording their new album since Bestival when they said they'd stop touring for 18 months so they won't be playing

would make sense seeing as she wont be headlining.

maybe we will be getting 3 female subs this year?!

going on Emily's comments about there being lots of women representation this year...

can you link to said comments? I thought it was Neil's hunch that there'd be more female representation, not anything Emily has said.

I've just re-read the whole of this thread as part of my clinical psychotherapy homework.

About 7100 posts ago someone mentioned that his music teacher's brother knows someone who knows someone who said the Thin White Duke is to return.

I'm starting to think its all we've got left...

I think that may of been me, it was my music journalism at Uni, he said he heard there was a possibility of Bowie doing a one off show at Glastonbury or Madison Square Gardens. I didn't think there was any truth in it just said what I heard but with all the secrecy it's giving me a small bit of hope

Black Sabbath to split. Farewell concert in November in Japan.

Probly headline the Pyramid first...

Foo's are the only 'rock' headliner, but if emily didn't make that comment they'd definitely fit the bracket of an outsider guess.

Are Stone Roses the 'safest' half realistic option left now with the names we are looking at and taking into account who is already headlining?

with Blur out of the picture it's gotta be Foo Fighters, Kanye West and Taylor Swift now...

I'd prefer it to be The Stone Roses on sunday but this has to be my paramount guess now...

It's definetly not got to be anything, fair enough if it's your final guess though

What's your Universal guess?

    • Looking like will be bringing a 2-3 month old to Glastonbury next year
    • Healey's first budget with be Oct 28th
    • Been going for 10 years. Wasn't massively keen on the lineup beforehand - although as usual after some research I did start to really look forward to it. We had a brilliant time, felt more like old school Latitude, lovely vibe and we met some nice people. We saw loads but highlights for me -   Lime Garden Florence Road Jalen Ngonda David Byrne - Not a fan of him or TH really but we went out of interest and it was one of those festival shows that you'll never forget. The staging was off the scale. Eleni Drake - Up on BBC Introducing, what a haven that stage is.  Westside Cowboy Getdown Services - Probably highlight of the weekend for me. Absolutely brilliant and have booked tix for them in Bristol next year. Everything Everything - They're my favourite band so I loved it when they were added. A great start to Sunday and met loads of their fans up near the front. Alex James Britpop - We enjoyed it and Gary Stringer FFS! David O'Doherty - Saw him twice, brilliant as usual. Self Esteem - Adore Rebecca and the show was as live affirming as always.   Overall, it was such a brilliant weekend. Beforehand we said that we might give it a miss next year but I'm pretty sure that we'll be sucked right back in!
    • Me too.  Reckon they must have more this year.   Not bad is it - ended up paying same price as this year.  It still represents great value for me.  Well, until I check my bank account the Monday after the weekend.
    • Well mayors have more powers to do that sh*t...but they have to make the numbers add up.
