Does anyone have the appetite to read through Shaun Keaveny's twitter feed to see if he's dropped any clues as to what he's been up to...?

Nothing obvious to suggest he was up to anything particularly related to any interview

Ok anyone think depeche mode could headline?

That is my dream headliner. They would be absolutely amazing I reckon. Unfortunately it does not seem very likely. I think it is going to be the Roses and I would be ecstatic at that.

I don't think your going to be ecstatic either way eastynh

Don’t do Twitter but SK said on air last week that he was going to be meeting one of his all-time musical heroes. No mention whatsoever of Glastonbury or it bearing any relation though. He is mainly into Dad Rock (& indeed was at the Who O2 gig with Matt Everitt last night).

I know we rubbished him but didnt Babbgy4Roses say that an interview had been done and from that the Roses would be announced.

Maybe he wasnt completely full of shit?

Waddu I know! I'm just wishful thinking here!

We didn't rubbish him. He openly admitted he was trolling us.

He is also a massive Roses fan.

Yeah, just some tit. Ignore everything he said and move along.

I'm firmly of the opinion that Madonna could headline and pull it off, she's arguably maintained her relevance far more than a certain purple 80s contemporary and is savvy enough to know exactly what would work for the big crowd and TV audience.

Not really but he did start today's show with The Stone Roses song Driving South. Read into that what you will!!!

this is coming from the same person who was championing Metallica last year - an act who haven't had a noteworthy album in fourteen years now. she has a huge back catalogue of hits. if she played a greatest hits-esque set it'd be one of the best the Pyramid had seen (song-wise - the performance may be a shambles, but that;'s a risk for any booking)

You cannot be serious. You think a Madonna set would rank alongside bowie, macca, radiohead, Neil young etc??

Ye gods

Really exciting to know there's a big chance the lineup is out this week, and that's we aren't even sure of 80% of the lineup!

Also, I'd like to be surprised and see the stone roses announced but I'm now feeling it's gonna be swift

God I'm worried how it's gonna go down though, if Foo Fighters, Kanye West and Taylor Swift are the trio. Wonder if some goers who've wanted to stop going to glastonbury for a while will finally throw in the towel :/

I do wonder about her Madgesty. I do think it will be a female headliner and I could totally see why she'd be open to it at this point.

Not bullshit, I'm talking about the 6music interview they've said it coming in the next week

it's very normal for interviews to be done in advance of an announcement, to only be revealed when the announcement comes around. efests has published one of those today.

An interview like that could be about just about anything that the act is wanting to push (normally a product, so tour, or album), and about the least likely thing would be for a (comparatively) poorly paid show such as Glasto.

So an interview around Glasto is possible, but probably unlikely.

    • It sounds like Feeder drew a crowd too big for that stage originally. Given the time period they haven’t appeared at Download as well it's a nostalgia thing. Halestorm vs Feeder wasn't the most ideal but leaving after either to get out would have been sweet at least.
    • You cant see everything unfortunately, it would be Halsey there for me 100%, the last 20/25 of Gorillaz. Halsey would be my non negotiable act on that day myself. Oddly Bleech 9:3 would actually give me an option I wouldn't mind between 3:15pm and Halsey. Dogstar would only likely be a 10 minutes thing of I've seen Keanu lol.
    • I think the tent was just right for Feeder, on that day anyway.   If you had a Biffy-esque day again, or someone of that ilk (maybe Pearl Jam for example), whack them on that main stage. 100%.    As it is, I think feeder will be back and probably high up the second stage or main stage next year or 2028.
    • I think we still have 2 acts to announce each day, maybe one more big name to complete the lineup?   Perhaps the big name is Turnstile on Thursday, which isn't sold out yet. And some other names that could be added like Iceage, Band of Horses or Tomora.
    • Saw David Gray 8 times between 2000 and 2025 (including one solo acoustic performance in Wexford, IE, 2017) and he always delivered. I enjoyed every show, never felt bland or let down an iota. To each their own. Yeah, it’s just that he’s not your cup of tea I’m afraid.   Agree that David is a bad dancer though lol.
