Aha sorry, thought bolding the letters would do it ;) I've never listened to Talking Heads before so can't comment really, heard alot about them but have never checked them out, probably should.

Talking Heads are good, need to listen to them more myself.

But I'm right there with you on The White Stripes. Although part of me feels like they should never return.

Anyone heard if Craig Charles is playing?

Was hoping he would play in Shangrila again.

Pretty sure he has mentioned it on his Saturday night 6music show. Is he not also part of the BBC tv team now as well so he will be on site. Seen him a few times, always quality :)

Forgive me if im wrong but there's not a white stripes/talking heads comparison going on here is there?

Please tell me im wrong.

Nope, there isn't. We were just discussing our 3 ideal reunited headliners and I replaced Talking Heads with The White Stripes on a list as I've never listened to them before, that's all :)

I'm the same, I don't feel like it would be as good second time round if I'm honest.

PHEW! Give them a listen and The White Stripes will never come into it ever again.

Any Talking Heads stuff to recommend to start off with? Just listened to This Must Be the Place and really enjoyed it.

My starting point was the compilation Sand in the Vaseline. Double cd covering 1976-92. Superb stuff.

I think you all are missing something big here, a real 'force majeure' if you will. A UK band with over two decades experience and numerous headlining sets at the biggest festivals..that's right; you know them, you love them.

Snow Patrol.

You rotten bastard.

That's the last name I was expecting after that build up. A truly tragic act.

'She's not going to be headlining, but she could be.' Odd wording

Yep. Lots seem to have taken it as "She's not headlining, but she's big enough to" or "She isn't currently headlining but could be if something changes". Personally wouldn't be surprised if she ends up headlining. Obviously we also have the guy saying she's subbing Foos, and he seemed very confident.

To be fair it was Wessex Boy wasn't it? Said it had come straight from the horses mouth so doubt he'd lie really.

Yeah I took it to mean she's isn't headlining but is big enough to. I've not 100% ruled her out though subbing seems more likely than headlining at this stage.

If after all this speculation it actually turns out to be Florence though
