That's not what I said is it. I'm sure lots of 'locals' like them (me included) but hasn't the Sunday headliner been more 'safe', at least in the last few years. Maybe that's changed now that most 'locals' are either behind the festival or at least tolerate it.

As someone who lives locally, I can confirm that the music tastes of the 'locals' is the same as it is for the rest of the country.

The ratio of Radiohead to Take That fans is exactly the same.

Stone roses can't see it happening . Brown ,voice sounds like nothing on gods earth. Condemned prisoners should not have to listen to that.

Glasto play it conservative Taylor swift. Take that. Ouch

Yeah I don't think Take That are especially likely - they've been back together for nearly a decade already, they'd surely have been booked before now if they were ever going to be - but the tourdates are just far too convenient to rule them out.

They'd also work well as a Radio 2-friendly choice, to counter the other two headliners being Radio 1-orientated.

Hopefully won't happen though.

Kylie is touring, and in the UK at the right time, and owes the festival one... as such.

I have been thinking along those lines as well although I don't think she would headline now. How big is her stage show and would it transfer easily to the Pyramid?

I still think Kylie will headline Bestival.

That wouldn't rule Glasto out completely, she's another one that's got Glasto free. So you have Kylie, Taylor, Emeli Sande, Pharrell and possible Faithless as sub options. And Flo if you believe that guy, at this stage they are doing nothing but Glasto or Bestival and I'm going for the latter.

I think Kylie is a good shout. I'm hoping for P***** but can see her being an option. I'm not sure what her stage production is like but U2 like to put on a show but didn't have much theatrics going on when they played.

As for that, (I assume is) lonely soul who made that very immature petition against Kanye West, I am glad he is going to the festival as it will really open his eyes to one of the great things that the place is about. The freedom to discover art in all it's forms without barriers.

Putting Kylie Minogue on Sunday night would be quite a delicious two-fingered salute to Neil Lonsdale.

Kylie would be a sub, it's not quite there for headlining now and it'd be a weak choice tbh. Very strong sub option though. I feel I've got every Other stage header and sub bar Friday header. I don't have Other Saturday header but I know the kind of act I feel i'll be.

...I see you guys may not have seen what we were doing. Blindness to flippantness? Is that a word?

I was on a bender until half 4 in the morning, chances are no lol

Friday headliner could be Foo Fighters I reckon.

(I know you meant Other headliner)

I don't get your comment here or the one in brackets? Why would I mention Foo's in that comment when it's clear its about the Other stage.

In another words dude, pointless reply.

And more than anything else, this Kanye furore has done more to convince me that the demogrpahic going to Glastonbury and moaning about him need cleaning out, need flushing away.

It's been phenomenally depressing to see the narrow minded shite that some people are spouting. Really fucking grim. The idea that the fucking tool who started the petition speaks for a sizeable percentage of the crowd is unutterably dispiriting

Yes.I hate narrow minded idiots. Personally I think Hawkwind would make an ideal Pyramid headliner, especially in the form they are on at the moment, but it's never going to happen again so there you go.I trust GFL not to book a crap act basically and if you don't fancy it go and see something else.

I saw her last tour and really enjoyed it, even the old stuff which I loathed back I'm the day. Pure entertainment. A bit Vegas but I don't mind that after my regularstaple diet of prog rock.

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
