They headlined Latitude a few years ago now, 2013 I think.

I thought that too when they said they were having 18 months off after Bestival but after this I'm thinking they are looking more likely.

Would easily fit the giving band the bump up and played Pilton Party last year and haven't been rumoured much so far.

I wouldn't agree with this, their last album translated by far the best live so far, suited much more by darker conditions and really growing into the slots that their music is meriting

was jingle jangle indie / dance of a high standard, good material for soundtracking E4 shows like Misfits / skins but thats about it....i enjoyed them playing other stage in 2013 but their time (bar a dramatic change) is past, file them alongside MGMT, bloc party

I think differently, if their next album reached the success of the previous one I could easily see them making the step up.

It is even possible that some festivals will take the risk and give them the bump before their next album is released.

Foals have only just been accepted on a wider scale... they're only going to get bigger over the next few years. Also, Melvin Benn has already said he wants them back as a headliner...

I think Foals will headline R&L next year. If they do that, they definitely won't headline Glastonbury on that album cycle (won't be shared with R&L next year and won't play Glasto the year after R&L have had them). Therefore I could see them subbing Glastonbury this year and coming back to headline on the back of the following album.

I made the point, when they were first discussed, that I could see them doing a few festivals this year, playing a couple of new songs, putting them back in the public's consciousness, before releasing the album in Autumn and going on to headline festivals next year. I'd love to see them sub, a hard working band that definitely deserve a big slot.

I was so gutted I missed them in 2013, would love to see them this year... providing I get a ticket somehow!

I agree they'll get there but remember it was only a year ago they did two dates at Ally Pally. Jamie T did 3 of them and is finding himself in the same spot as Foals at Reading. Bar London, Apollo's are as high as they have got own venue wise.

They'll get the bump from R&L 1st I'd imagine, but I think Glasto header is a little further away. After Mumford & Sons did that same spot in 2011 they became massive, majorly more so than what Foals have after it. We'll need to see a sell out arena tour 1st.

I don't mind Foals but they're far from Pyramid Stage headliners. I'd class them as a good quality Other Headliner.
