AC/DC 6-1 2nd favourites, wow wildly optimistic

Those that are putting money on them clearly dont know that Brian Johnson refuses to do consecutive nights and that AC/DC fees are way more than Eavis could/would pay

As for Coldplay what a dull safe choice, nothing against them but like Ed Sheeran and Mumford and Sons etc they are not inspiring choice

So AC/DC won't be making an appearance?

They are far too big for the other stage.

At a European festival I would agree, but at Glastonbury I wouldn't.

In recent years Pet Shop Boys, Chemical Bros, Primal Scream, The xx and Jake Bugg, have all been Other stage headliners. I'd say that in the UK, Depeche Mode are on a similar level.

Don't think AC/DC are big enough myself

I absolutely hate Ed Sheeran, but he would have been a bolder booking than Coldplay. At least they would have taken a slight risk - has he ever headlined a festival?

Coldplay was the least exciting booking of anyone there could possibly be. Worst no, someone like Bieber is obviously worse.

Most boring / least inspiring? Yes.

Maybe thats the problem. They have gone round the world headlining all the major festivals yet they could only headline the smaller stages at Glastonbury.

The world has gone mad. Coldplay can headline 4 times and get mammoth crowds but DM could only half fill the field. Nearly as bad as Ed Sheeran filling Wembley.

Yes young people should be forced to sit and watch heritage bands who have only stayed on the cusp of relevancy for the last 10 years.

Christ it's taken me days to catch up with this one thread! Anyway now that I have:

The Bends is the best Radiohead album although I do like the later works

Coldplay meh but plenty of other stages. Just hope there's one decent Pyramid headliner for the newbies in my group really.

I am morally opposed to ironing and I hate bananas.

Has anyone ever tried this / indulged in the Radiohead 01/10 Conspiracy?

http://puddlegum.net/radiohead-01-and-10/

I spent quite a bit of time looking at it and came to the conclusion that:

  • Radiohead didn't pay combining the two albums any thought at all.
  • It doesn't really work all that well. Not compared to listening to practically any Radiohead album as originally sequenced.

Although the fact that you can hear the words "In Rainbows" at the golden ratio point 61.8% of the way through, I found pretty mind blowing, although the band had no idea. But it's very precise and the only time the album title is spoken during the record.

    • He was also arrested for allegedly punching his pregnant girlfriend.   Such a charmer.
    • George Borg - now he was a character. Both terrifying and endearing, often in the space of 5 minutes. Entertaining times back then!
    • Shamelessly got AI to put my lineup prediction into a poster. This is based on Wacken and what I think we may get generally. Could just as easily replace Knocked Loose with Malev because it’ll be one of the other. Wish we could have a scenario where they co-headline and each get like 75mins or something.
    • There’s normally a high churn but to only have one bit-part player left from the season before is very strange - unless you go into administration. Our new manager made his signings early - mainly from the league below - so interesting to see what happens.
    • As has been said Trump wasn't lying when he said he has solved multiple wars.   I mean he's ended the Iranian war at least 9 times so far and counting...
