You're actually wishing for some of these people? Utter madness. Each to their own, but I didn't think people like you even existed.

Florence is on the edge and depends on well the album does but is in the frame to step up.

- If Florence was on the edge, I'd give her a little push.

aye that could well be the case. Have no idea what their live shows are like these days but they remain a band that I'd love to see despite the last two albums which i wasn't really a fan of.

Dull. I am also a fan.

They don't have to have an album out though, maybe just a single like Coldplay and Arctics have done in previous years

They don't really have to have an album out at all seeing as they've had a couple of albums since headlining last but I can't see them playing without one. They don't really do singles anymore since they started self-releasing their work and I don't believe they've previewed songs before albums since prior to then either. I had really hoped they'd headline next year but I thought they were already recording in all honesty; can't see it happening so quickly now.

Yeh I suppose your probably right actually, if it doesn't happen by 2016 though I'll be very surprised

Radiohead and Fleetwood Mac are likely IMO. Hoping that Stone Roses get something done before next year but it's looking unlikely, they are the one band I'd really love to see at Glastonbury.

Madonna may be possible as she loves publicity and look what it's done for Dolly.

Fingers crossed Super Furries record something new and can headline other, that would be perfect.

    • They built a watering system and have been watering the island for the past few weeks to reduce dust, but given the current drought, there will still be dust. They will cover twice as much ground around the main stage with those plastic panels as they did before. They couldn't book Gogol Bordello because the singer was afraid the government would allow Russian security services to capture him if he entered the country. They didn't have much room to be selective about artists. They booked whoever they could get. This year's Sziget will be only about 50% of his original vision. He wanted a dedicated rock stage. They are preparing for a loss of 1.5 billion HUF this year. For some reason, student tickets are not selling in the numbers they had expected. He said that when he talks about the lineup being less important, he doesn't mean Sziget should have a weaker lineup than Primavera. Rather, it should have a similarly strong lineup combined with much more non-musical programming, so people from abroad come here to see the same artists but have a completely different overall experience. He didn't miss Sziget and originally wanted to spend no more than two days a week dealing with it, but now he's working on it full-time and has handed over control of the rest of his businesses.
    • Well the point seems to be 22.7% turn out doesn't suggest the majority are rushing out to support the mayoral system.
    • I wonder if they had that vote again they'd vote differently, seeing how successful other mayors like Burnham have been?
    • Doesn't surprise me. West Yorkshire had a vote if they wanted a mayor in 2012 and voted no. The government then ignored the vote and announced the position anyway in 2016.
