Well, at the risk of angering the Gods of music snobbery...

I think a spot of Courteeners and Jungle will go down a treat on a Sunny afternoon with a cider in hand.

Of course if there's a better act on somewhere else, I'll wander off to that instead :)

if those acts, in that order, are what the have in store for later on in the day then i dread to think that they've got for earlier. but i will be there (possibly) for the Other opener (unless the fact that it's Bastille leaks earlier that day). hoping for some better acts on Other for the other days (although tbh, the less time i have to spend there the better, so maybe not - just Chemical Brothers please)

You like parenthesis don't you?

The Field is playing in Iceland for ATP the week after, so maybe he'll be joining him there too.

oooh, hope so. The Field did a majestic set at Green Man last year.

Came on to no fanfare, started, played live for an hour and a half looping like a good 'un, went off to similarly no fanfare - epic!

some people seem to have an issue with their "appropriation" of black music/culture, or some bollocks reason like that.

I have no problem with that at all. I have a problem with the fact that they are exceptionally dull. Same monotonous indulgent funk groove over and over and over and...

Mind you, my 17 year old son loves 'em, so what do I know, Grandad...?

Huge following amongst the Everton crowd.

Ha - it'll be nice to watch them with a more normal crowd as it won't have as much of an edge at Glastonbury. That's if I make it out of Heaton park alive...I'm starting to regret getting tickets for that!

That's what I'm talking about! Also missed them last year, but hopefully the stars will align this time around and it'll be cumbia o'clock at some point.

Y'arriba!

They were one of my highlights last year - definitely recommend checking them out

    • Is anyone selling a medium camper van parking spot - I would love to buy it off you!   Bought our tickets a while ago and have since found out gf is pregnant and will be 7 months by festival! Luckily family have just bought a camper van we can borrow so we can still come along but… the medium parking spots have sold out 😞
    • Sure enough I did finish the Brosnan Bonds. Goldeneye is good but I think might be overrated by some Bond mega-fans, The World Is Not Enough is ok but nothing more than that and Die Another Day is just wild. I didn't hate Die Another Day like some have but its basically a wacky sci-fi film with Bond movie clothes.
    • Monaco comes across to me as something that's great for just watching people driving around, especially this year as it feels like this is a track where they can actually push compared to other circuits where superclipping ruins it, but where the cars seem to have outgrown it.   Though tbf Formula E has had decent Monaco races recently so maybe its a sign of car development philosophy being a factor.
    • Feel like a lot of people do just sit around by the stage at a festival waiting for one act anyway, no? I know Swift has a big mega-fandom - she wouldn't have done so many Wembley shows last year if she didn't - but it's not like she'd be unique in playing a festival and drawing a crowd on that specific day just for her.   But then tbf I feel like there'd be a few happy just to mosy around the rest of the site until maybe 2/3 acts beforehand.
