I thought they were doing it for people who can't afford it which I can't with being a student

That's how I'm taking it. The volume of students in Manchester is one of the main reasons there is such a great arts scene - I'm sure these cheap tickets are partly aimed at students.

If there's a red X through B. Gudmundsdottir that's someone else they need to find to headline the Other Stage. The pool's dwindling as fast as the Pyramid's.

Foals would be fun.

Thanks, the £12 tickets don't seem to be there though and I can't really afford £45 right now

Ehh, if you like. It's probably up for interpretation really. It's at least a claim which is better than probably most that will try get those tickets.

Second this Wooderson, my absolute first choice

Other Stage headliner? They did Other Stage sub for 15 minutes less last time, and I found it was kinda crap. Would at least rather they subbed... Preferrably subbing Blur.

Thanks for the top!

You'll have plenty of time to get your Latitude ticket after that line-up announcement, Lawn ;)

Hey, come on, there's Portishead, The Twilight Sad, Thurston Moore, Susanne Sundfor, Jon Hopkins and.... erm.... SBTRKT is sort of cool...

Yeah it is, add in the fact I got tickets for Modest Mouse the other day, and it's a huge month. I'm now on the breadline though. I'm going to have to go easy on gigs for the rest of the year.

without new material i really can't see them coming back, to play exactly the same set they did in 2013 (which they more than likely would as they were peddling the same set for the entirety of the last tour). odd that they're doing festivals - maybe something's closer than we think, or maybe they just wanted to get out of the studio

You are, of course, quite correct, Mr Lawn.

There is lots on that undercard that I would love to see. I am really hoping that Adult Jazz, The Twilight Sad, Caribou, Public Service Broadcasting, King Creosote, Sun Kil Moon, Drenge, Kiasmos, Marika Hackman and Jon Hopkins are GF bound.

They're ace. Bolix to this "subbing" nonsense.

i thought about trying to get a cheap ticket but to be honest £45 to see someone like Bjork and by the looks of it a few other bands its pretty reasonable, it'll certainly help the Glasto comedown

I've had a feeling recently that Bjork will be at Glastonbury..

Occasionally, I get hunches, not always correct but sometimes they are, like on Tuesday knowing that Benteke would score a winner against us..

Thing is the way she presents her shows in such an artistic way these days would it not be a bit lost in a festival setting? I was lucky to watch her at her Biophillia tour and it was truly beautiful :) I could not imagine that on a festival stage

She did headline Bestival on the Biophillia tour to mixed reviews. I saw her in an intimate venue in Manchester & it was one of the best shows I've ever seen, but I did think at the time I'm not sure this would work on a bigger stage.

Although this time around she's playing Castlefield Bowl at the MIF rather than a selection of dates at an intimate venue so perhaps this show will be more of a traditional tour set up.

The mixed reviews were probably from the 17 year old simpletons too busy doing NO2 balloons instead of actually watching/listening to her! We had to get right to the front to get away from all the tards talking and in the end it was great!

I was there too, thought it was an amazing gig....but yeah.....a few too many kids on NO for my liking (although the best thing was going to the bar with the last of my money at the end of the night and being like £6 short for my round and they just said no worries, enjoy :)

I was surprised Bjork played a big festival headline set with the biophilia tour. It was such an intimate sound and I went to 3 of her Manchester gigs and they were perfect.

How it would transfer to a festival intrigued me, didn't see her at bestival but I did at pukkelpop. It was still fantastic as it was Bjork just not a patch on her Manchester gigs.

I was lucky enough to see her concert at Carnegie Hall last Saturday, and I can completely see where people are coming from in saying that her performance may not be as geared towards a festival. This was my first time seeing her perform so now I get that. That said, the concert was profoundly moving - the Vulicura songs sounded incredible live, and she integrated some songs from her back catalog that wove in very well with the story that was being told by the concert as a whole.
