No, I think British crowds are actually considered to really lively.

I think it probably has a lot to do with us being a nation of pissheads and getting totally bladdered at gigs.

This ^^

To me, it's that which is the difference in the crowds in the north and south. In the south people tend to be far less pissed.

My experience of T in the Park is that a huge proportion will cheer any old shite, because they're too pissed to realise that it is shite.

You have to remember where Coachella is, the RHCP are pretty much locals to the festival and will be held in high regard - so for them to be there is not far off a home coming gig.

I saw them headline the Bonnaroo festival in Tennessee last year and they had a huge crowd there too - its like the USA equivalent to U2 playing in Ireland.

Having been I would say like I've said before the closet UK festival in to Coachella is the V Festival

I remember an interview with Dave Growl a few years back - he was talking about the difference between UK/European Crowds and U.S crowds. He said that U.S crowds just think they are watching the gigs on TV even though its happening right in front of them and what to be the audience of the audience instead of adding to the atmosphere.

    • Geese playing for 1:20 instead of just an hour was a lovely surprise. The energy was great!
    • Oh well that's why then, I assumed it was still the same. Thanks!
