You do know this is as ridiculous as saying Taylor Swift's fan base relies entirely on teenage girls?4 points

5hrs3mins to finish Salisbury Plain Marathon. Happy with that considering i'd barely trained. Hilly AF and hot and humid too. With hindsight, should've got in in under 5 hours but i wasn't really keeping an eye on time and wasn't too bothered tbh. Enjoyed having a chat at aid stations and stopped with 5k to go to help a lady in distress, who had contrived to pull BOTH calf muscles! (how does that happen???!!!) One down, two to go: Andover Trail Marathon - Sept. Beachy Head - Oct.4 points

Pretty sure you've covered most things there, although Crack Cloud are at the top of my list. I realise they are a bit of an acquired taste for some people. We've just set off. ETA Glanusk Park at 11am.4 points

A power bank is a Festival essential these days best £20 you will spend. Grab an Anker brand portable charger on amazon & never look back. I always laugh at the hundreds of ppl queing to charge their phone with EE at glasto. I bet they will want a fiver to charge your phone, pays for itself3 points

Throughout this whole thing she's posted less on Twitter than you have in the various "shit..." threads3 points

Can't believe it's just hours until I'll be at the gates to settle in for my first Green Man, been dying to go for so long:) After poring over the lineup and making some amazing discoveries, I've got quite a list of people I'd absolutely love to see, and it looks as though it may be feasible judging via the clashfinder (just waiting to confirm with the programme tomorrow - I'll be sure to post if no-one has yet when I get mine!) I'd love to know if there's anyone amazing I'm missing / not on this list / who you're most excited to see! Here's my list... KoL have about one tenth of the hits that The Killers have too. If they did a JP set it'd be bouncing for three songs rather than the whole set.2 points
-
Killers got booked after tearing the arse roof off John Peel though. The band said it was the loudest set they'd ever done and the Eavises, iirc, mentally locked it in on the spot. Leaving aside the enduring popularity of early Killers tunes in ways that vastly outstrip KoL's peak, Brandon's resilience as a media presence, yadda yadda — would KoL get the same reaction from a secret set? I don't think they would.2 points

I use the tescos air beds and battery pump!! They last well and don't deflate over nite!! They are usually half price this time of year!2 points

Early afternoon I imagine. Never need to rush for EOTR so will hopefully have a nice big breakfast and then head over.1 point

that first new one was awful, had a quick listen and this one is way better. both pretty poor though honestly! — saw some of the lineup’s acts this weekend at Boardmasters and some at Latitude - Sports Team (Latitude) - great show and tons of energy, latitude crowd obviously not all that especially early on in the day but it was thoroughly enjoyable declan mckenna (Latitude) - first act back for me, brazil and british bombs were huge singalongs really cannot wait to see him again / honestly wasn’t that bothered by him before easy life (Boardmasters) - great band but just didn’t work that well imo on the main stage, would have been so much better in a tent and couldn’t see them that well as the boardmasters main stage is uphill slowthai (boardmasters) - set of the weekend at reading potential honestly, the energy from the crowd at his shows is off the scale. Cannot wait for round 2!1 point

We have the same issue as you. We are coming from Jersey and double vaccinated but cannot use the NHS app and would have had to run the risk of going, getting a lateral flow test and risk of getting stuck in England if we tested positive. Good news 🙂 , they replied to our concerns this morning by email to confirm that they will now accept vaccination letter proof from the Channel Islands and Isle of Man. Letters must be from your local health service / GP and have to match your ID. Their website has now been updated to reflect this: https://endoftheroadfestival.com/information/covid/ Time to just worry about the day splits and weather 😄1 point

Only doing the Saturday this year but it does seem like they’re missing a few big hitters on the disco side of things. Gutted they couldn’t get Harvey back. The love international stage on Saturday looks great at least. Saw your write up about the the Alfresco Disco night, well excited to try that if it gets more use!1 point

So, it is a 14:15 start on Thursday! My coach has an ETA of 13:30, which will be very tight indeed. Best case is all on time, get the tent up, chuck the bags in and run to the stage! Could be a fair few people disappointed to miss Wet Leg.1 point

Which is true when you need a replacement and it's pushing on Christmas and time is running out, but this year's "replacements" have the same sort of time frames as any usual bookings.1 point

Oh my god, please NO! They were horrible in 2018, what a dull show. I'd rather take Kings of Leon again!1 point

In today's things I didn't think I'd say after 2011, I actually really like Cold War Kids new song. It's not great to be fair, but I like it (bit like the rest of your music taste priest lololololol)1 point

Think everyone can recognise that Bearded took the correct decision for them based on the information they had available. The fault here is with the Government actively refusing to provide guidance or any type of certainty to Bearded and other event organisers in a useful timescale.1 point

I feel bloody marvellous! Still hungover to hell and almost hoarse from all the singing and chatting, but a weekend camping with my Glasto buddies was the most normal weekend in a long long time…all set up on my mates farm, he even hired a Portaloo for the weekend!1 point
