**claire**
Third & probably last time in Hitchin Hill for us - mainly due to luck of the draw meaning we ended up being surrounded by complete cretins for neighbours! Were you all pleased with your choice of home for the week?
Hugh Jass
Was in Dairy and it was great. No issues at all and right next to Gate D so handy for the car.
Titters2
Dairy too - and great, just enough space for a communal chin wag area, good neighbours. Long queu foe the toilets though!
fatyeti24
best spot of the 11 festivals i've been to. lovely little field, nice long grass, tucked up the corner under the shade of a tree. right next to a water tap (but not the toilets!) and sailed in at 1pm wednesday,no queues (big thanks to the tuesday night mentalists getting in and out of my way!) i'd love to tell you where it was, but i want it again next year. cough **baileys** cough Edited June 29, 2015 by fatyeti24
Mouseboy11
Camped in Michael's Mead near the big Pylon by The Beat Hotel, really liked it to be fair. Nice and central with everything within reasonable distance. Will probably aim for there again next year (providing I get a ticket)

kalifire
Went for Pennards again as the healing/green fields and Park represented where I spent most of my time. I camped next to one of several little community areas the festival piloted this year, run by the Young Greens. I don't really think the community aspect worked that well because nobody fancied spending more time than necessary at their tent, but it did provide an added layer of security, so I had a trouble-free festival. Rose-Colored Boy
We were in Spring Ground so just had to go where we were given but yes it was perfectly pleasant. Jolly nice and close to the action too, for a dickhead-free zone.
fatyeti24
Plenty of space there on the Thursday last year too. Bit of a trek to anywhere though. everywhere's a bit of a trek! but it's not far from the park or arcadia, a straight walk down to other or the crossroads at the bottom of pennards and not far from gate d, which was a blessing. that big tent weighed about 50kgs! i'm selling it here, aren't i? i better shut up now. 5co77ie
Pennards - Camplight - liked the community aspect - as you say an extra layer - wasn't at my tent for more than sleep most of the night to really enjoy it
ICGenie
Never been one to spend enough time at the tent to chat to the neighbours so Oxlyers was fine for me.
paulmuchmore
Camped in Kidney Mead, just round the corner from the Pyramid. Perfect spot, quiet neighbours, great that we were just around the corner from the stage so you could hear the music if you popped back to the tent for anything - ideal for grabbing a jumper and a few drinks before the headliners. Avalon_Fields
Marvellous in East Camper Fields, quiet spot, walk into the festival Wednesday 10:30, takes 15 minutes, nothing to carry, extra Tuesday afternoon party, and drive out very early this morning in 10 minutes
The 38 year old virgin
Myself and the camp solo gang found an almost perfect spot in darble. As said previously, it's a trek, but so's everywhere. Loads of space, fairly quiet, right next to pga, and near my car. Very happy, and will probably look at camping there if I make the trip next year
neil_d
Hitchin Hill (for the first time, after being in Michael's Mead area previously). Worked well for me. Lovely view too.
Michaels denim shorts
Very bottom corner of pennards by the ice cream van/long drops. central, busy as buggery at all times but was perfect positioning. Pennards seemed generally way less rammed this year
Aragorn
South park 1 or 2. Quiet and compost loos which were great bu the way at bottom of field
little_jim
Not far from the John Peel tent up a way behind the Drop The Debt Bus, pretty much had the same spot since 2009, never had any issues always really good, a bit of a younger crowd around us each time with it being close to the coach drop off but never had any problems with any one. sazindie
We were in east 24 campervan, which was the same as last year, quick trek to the gate and lovely neighbours once again. We spent most of the time I'm kidz/theatre and circus/green fields so ideal for us.
Mollyanne&Mike
We were in Big Field near the Lock Up. Great location, having been half way up Kidney Mead in the past. Heck of a walk to Avalon, Green Fields etc but that's not a problem. Neighbours were pretty awful, rubbish everywhere and unable to step over anyone's guy ropes (even when they were inches from the tent to manage space). If the ticket gods are kind next year, same place but different neighbours please.
Digi
Top of Paines that isn't staff camping just as you come through gate D. We've camped there for the last 5 festivals and as a few of us meet up every year at the festival it means we are always guaranteed space to camp together. We always manage to get up against the fence so no through traffic so to speak and no one falling over your tent. Plus bags of room for us to have a camp fire when we all get back at night and pretty peaceful to get some sleep ...had a couple of precious neighbours though - yeah, i am talking to you if you are reading this and had a go at my mate for daring the step on picnic rug which he had to cross to get to our little group all sat chatting. Don't want it standing on? Do bloody put it there where someone has to walk! We didn't leave until around 11ish and i have to say, it looked in pretty good shape up there with people packing up after them. The Campsite stewards were going around take the tents down on the proviso they could take what they wanted. They were very grateful for all our leftover booze! Foxy1984
Baileys again for us this year. We had 6 tents so were early wednesday arrivals, but in future I would arrive later and head here. Mrs Wills also gets opened up for late arrivals on Thursday which is good knowledge.
al_coholic
Oxlyers for me, just to the left of the Other Stage about 30 ft back from the track. Good spot again, could sit on chairs and watch the stage. People round us were a good crowd. Thefts from 2 tents were a real issue, but we just gone on with it. Only real issue was the massive crowd for The Charlatans. The whole area was grid locked so people were coming round the tents and treading on the tents etc... That was the busiest it got all weekend.
oneeye
West side was the place to go; we camped at Pylons, loads of room, great neighbours and no tent thieving (as far as I know). Last 6 years I was Big Ground, not any more. None of this queuing overnight tues rubbish, rock up around 1100, in and pitched by 1300, no brainier really
young_bairn
Worthy view. No complaints obviously
