There's a two week gap in Guided by Voices' US tour dates, last week of August, first week of September. Is it too much to hope...? (answer:almost definitely)

My opinion, video screens at festivals are the work of the devil. I hope EotR never have them.

Big Thief and Explosions in the Sky would have been nice, but much prefer EotR overall. Explosions booking gives the lie to the oft-repeated claim that ArcTangent doesn't share headliners.

Fabulous. Can't wait. At the moment the clash finder has them on the Boat stage. I'm hoping that's wrong, it's a nice stage, but not for this. Folly after dark would be great. -
Always a great live act. Listening to the new album now. They seem to have got over (at least some of) the preachy one-note shoutiness as well, bit more variety. I'm in. Just hoping they don't clash with YLT.

No, just making an observation. Would expect to see words like "exciting" (which I just noticed was on their Instagram last week). Festivals usually big up their announcements to create anticipation, that's all. Not writing anything off.

That's what is ringing alarm bells. Last year's first announcement was a massive disappointment.

Probably just me, but I'm not getting massive vibes of excitement from this announcement announcement. Very matter-of-fact. Keeping expectations low perhaps?
