If the Beta Band carry on after this tour, they should absolutely be there - they were fantastic last night in Bristol.

John Maclean was at Green Man introducing his recent film this year and apparently dropped a heavy hint that they'd be there in 2026, in which case they wouldn't also do EOTR.

Super Furry animals rumoured to be doing an outdoor show in August in Abergavenny . That would rule them out of Green Man but not EOTR...

Abergavenny is the nearest town to Green Man, which takes place in August.

I saw them at my first EOTR (2007) & as next year will almost certainly be my last, that would be perfect symmetry. SFA playing 'Ice hockey hair' on the Sunday night would be the perfect way to bow out.

I spoke to St Etienne at an album launch talk in Brighton. They are going to tour in 2026 including festivals, wouldn't say which so fingers crossed.

Having seen Beta Band twice on recent tour would love for them to be at EOTR.

 Seconded. Thought they were immense in Manchester Saturday. Steve's solo set went down a storm in the big top about ten years ago didn't it so hopefully he has fond memories.

Just had a little look at some of the recent or planned album releases between 2025 and 2026's festival for EOTR adjacent acts to see who will likely be about... 

 

Reckon some of these stand a chance of being on the line-up...

What are people’s thoughts on My Bloody Valentines Summer 2026 movements? See they are due to play Primervera, and are therefore doing festivals, but probably too big for EoTR?

My gut says MBV are a bit on the big side for EOTR but would be happy to be proved wrong! 

Have they been announced for anything else apart from Primavera yet?

My rough rule of thumb is headline level is probably someone who can sell the Apollo/Academy (London centric, soz)

 

They're playing Wembley Arena in a couple of weeks. Seems a bit out of EOTR's scope

They occasionally get Wembley arena sized bands ( Sigur Ros just before their arena tour) but i think Ally Pally is their realistic limit.
