Seen a few posts from Pulp fans complaining about the price of the festival at £300, yet they've paid £75 for not even half a day at Wythenshawe. Must've been too sorted back in the day! 😄

I do wonder if with only three artists named and with it likely that many have never heard of EOTR before some think it's a heavily overpriced single day event.

Pulp literally did a stripped back Tiny Desk a couple of weeks ago so I think that's the most likely definition of 'unusual' (and could reduce the cost of the show).

It's not really stripped back in that sense given there's nine musicians (and it was one of the auxiliary members that the original rumour came from), the only difference being electro-acoustic guitars and Nick's playing a cajon because there's no room for the full kit.

Fair point!!

EOTR (Or Green Man) still in play. Given they've played GM more recently we may get them.

This is the only shows in Europe and UK we plan to play next year except for a couple that are yet to be announced in this same time frame 🤫

If their tour ends on August 25th it feels very unlikely that they're going to be waiting around until September 3rd for one date.

Mannequin Pussy pulled out of Green Man last year so that's far more likely where they're going.

Is there any crossover with We Out Here? That’s been announced. They have Joshua Idehen. Was hoping he may have been at EOTR

Occasionally, but it really shouldn't make any difference to whether Idehen is booked or not, it's not like he's flying in.

Speaking of which, Kurt Vile is playing European festivals for the three weekends before EOTR and nothing announced in the UK yet (though obviously that period includes GM)

Yes please that early evening sunshine slot on the woods is an all time favourite EOTR memory

Supersonic Festival has been moved from EOTR weekend to April, which means EOTR won't be able to share some of the more interesting acts - this year Moin, Six Organs Of Admittance, Jackie O-MF and Aunty Rayzor, in 2024 they both had Bonnie Prince Billy.

A bit worrying this. The overlap has clearly benefitted eotr in recent years. Especially with the American experimental acts, they don't tour as much over summer as it is more difficult to line up enough dates.

On the plus side, it's now possible to go to both.
