Talking about smaller undercard names, saw Maruja yesterday and they were spectacular. Either late slope act or very early Klub-C / Barn, but would love to see them at Werchter.

Started to listen to them from discord recommendations and they look great.  Another fan fav over there is Westside Cowboy who I reckon could be on the slope too

Let's hope he's got his energy back. The first time I saw him in the tent it was one of the best surprises of the year. Almost more of a stand-up show than a concert. Then, when he came back on main stage after being popular and gotten more into the regularity of it, I think he was really boring and disappointing. Something tells me we'll never get the "original" back, but let's see. Seems like Friday will be the more pop-ish day at least, so hopefully some good alternatives on the other stages.

And there is your initial Capaldi hunch, things are turning on their head. That may also now take The Offspring out of contention. The Prodigy, Capaldi, Moby and The Cure being the big one.

I would advise @Crazyfool01 to look at @thetime suggestion to start a blocking crusade as well. I don't care who blocks me but that's a pretty out there thing to be saying and comes across as a bit of an attack!. Ah well I'll let him deal with that.

Also @Crazyfool01 how I am baiting everyone for attention and that is workinf is beyond me? Surely you make a point of liking recent announcements including today's if you are just wanting attention, that's just talking positive about the festival but each to their own.

Underwhelming so far. I don't think I'll come back next year.

2026 is stacked with big names and seems like every summer festival won't be a copy/paste like these past years. Choices have to be made but for my taste RW are making the worst of them.

Looking forward to coming back at some point though, before tickets cost 500€.

Hi. I will attend Rock Werchter for the first time in 2026.

Are we sure The XX and Capaldi are both co-headliners for the Friday? No other potentiel headliner?

Thank you.

The XX are defo closing their day (said in the press release) and honestly I’m not sure Lewis Capaldi will play anywhere else other than under them

Most likely scenario is Lewis Capaldi is the second last act on the main stage. Whether you call that subbing or co-headlining is mainly an argument of semantics and about a 15-30 mins difference in set length. I imagine they should both get at least 1 hour and 15 mins playing time.

They'll also be headliners to be announced for other stages, including the Barn, the second largest stage which is setup like an indoor arena. Typically that might clash with the 2nd to last act on the main though, so Capaldi in this case.

Rock Werchter does have previous for switching acts around. For example, last year it was rumoured that Iggy Pop would be main stage, then he ended up closing the Barn. Until you see it properly announced or on a poster it's a bit of intelligent guesswork.

For now it looks like Capaldi - The XX as a top two. Likely with Teddy Swims underneath because of his leaked tour dates on his website.

I think they are intentionally leaving things a bit vague in the last few announcements as it will allow them to shuffle things around depending on ticket sales, reactions, new entries that will affect the rest of the program, etc. I will not be surprised if they add a few popular acts that will take high spots in order to boost sales, but much later. In Q1 or even Q2 '26. It won't be the first time. (House)bands of the magnitude of Editors, Nothing But Thieves, KOL, etc.

In regard to today's announcement, I think it's bad news for the xx. Unless there is something very strong in the Barn during LC, I'm afraid many people won't stick around to see them. I'll still be there for them, but the duo Teddy Swims - Capaldi before them (with something in between probably and IF they are all on the main) is very light.

    • Not necessarily but it should be, Download have a habit of messing it uo when others get the bookings on point. Good Charlotte I doubt are playing 3rd down and that too 3 that day while dreamy is too strong. I think you'd have one another day to help sell weekend tickets. I also doubt Papa Roach play.
    • Here's a bit of a wild stab, few placings may be off, and for all I know half of these won't actually be touring next year, but screw it, it's a bit of fun   Pyramid: Sabrina Carpenter, Phoebe Bridgers, TBA (Florence + The Machine), Garbage, The Last Dinner Party, Interpol, Alex James Britpop Classical Other: Chase & Status, Teddy Swims, Clairo, The Kooks, Zara Larsson, Kingfishr, Sports Team, Orbital West Holts: Robyn, Baby Keem, De La Soul, Deltron 3030, JID, Dua Saleh, kwn, Daniela Latila Woodsies: Bonobo, Darkside, TBA (Tame Impala), Laufey, Warmduscher, Wednesday, The Lottery Winners, The Royston Club, Florence Road Park: Patti Smith, Super Furry Animals, Slayyyter, The Cardigans, Skye Newman, Kelly Lee Owens, Teen Jesus & The Jean Teasers   Pyramid: Harry Styles, The xx, Richard Ashcroft, The Pogues, Jessie J, Sigrid, Travis Other: Rosalia, Sombr, Mitski, Alex Warren, Holly Humberstone, Cat Burns, Pale Waves, Yard Act West Holts: Basement Jaxx, Elyanna, Clipse, L’Imperatrice, Nation of Language, Jim Legxacy, Yazmin Lacey, RIP Magic Woodsies: Suede, Chvrches, Bleachers, MUNA, The Cribs, Keo, Bleech 9:3, The Lilacs Park: MARINA, Magdalena Bay, Jacob Alon, TBA (Lily Allen performs West End Girl), Getdown Services, Isaac Wood, Snail Mail, Madra Salach Pyramid: Sam Fender, Hozier, David Byrne, Cher, Obongjayar, David Gray, Billy Ocean Other: Doja Cat, Deftones, Addison Rae, Ren, Viagra Boys, Maisie Peters, The Reytons, Hard Life West Holts: Kano, Thievery Corporation, Angine De Poitrine, Thee Sacred Souls, Brooke Combe, Sasha Keable, Master Peace Woodsies: The Wombats, Metronomy, Geese*, Dry Cleaning, EsDeeKid, Sienna Spiro, Cowboy Hunters, Radio Free Alice Park: Big Thief, Laura Marling, MJ Lenderman, Richard Dawson, Oklou, Maruja, Dead Dads Club, Ratboys   *There's always one band booked for Woodsies that ends up being massively under-billed and gets shut down really early. They'd be better off playing somewhere like Other sub, but I could see the G getting them to play a smaller stage while it's still possible
    • Another Kraftwerk one for me today, as just back from seeing them.
    • Completed my 2026 survey. Put down Super Furry Animals as my most wanted for next year but suspect the moment has gone for that. Popped a big shopping list in the box for who else you would like to see. 🙂
