  1. I was expecting more bands in total but so be it. I guess the cost of getting TOOL was so high that they had to reduce the lineup by 10 bands 😂. Not a great drop for me this one, but I won't complain. I still have plenty to see on all days. Btw...how weird is that "Glenn Hughes Performs Classic Deep Purple Live" when you already have Deep Purple?
  2. Yep! Even with what they've announced till now, there are more bands that get me truly excited here than the entire RW lineup (which is quite shocking for me). This festival was a serious contender for us this year (as was Øya in Oslo - you may look there for some future add-ons to WoW) but we couldn't be in Sweden or Norway on those dates unfortunately. For my taste, festivals in Scandinavia and France seem to have the best lineups this year.
  3. What a lineup they have so far! Thursday looks fantastic!
  4. Not all logos are main stage necessarily. Most of them are but not all. Opeth and Heilung in '22 for example both played in Marquee. This could be the case for Polyphia, Emperor and Mr. Bungle this year. Also, logo bands aren't necessarily the "biggest" that day. Look at Mammoth for example 😉
  5. As an educated guess, they could be following the same logic as the headliners (with a potential exception of a logo band playing in a tent). Meaning...as they appear on the poster from left to right, alternating between the South and North stage on the program (note: the south stage is actually the one on the right). To give you an example, on Thursday, in a backward format, the program could look something like : South: TOOL Megadeth Baby Metal North: Alice Cooper Heart Polyphia Edit: This is just an example. I wouldn't be surprised if, for example, Polyphia will play in Marquee and Crosses on the main
  6. Not the strongest year for Graspop (but that goes for most festivals this year), with a lot less Prog/Black/Doom/Death and waaaay too much Metalcore but can't complain, I'm still happy with my combi ticket. Nice drop of names yesterday and especially: Turnstile, Architects, Fear Factory, Rival Sons, Ne Obliviscaris, Wolfmother, Limp Bizkit, Mr. Bungle, The Last International, Alien Weaponry. From the leaked poster I will miss primarily Stone Temple Pilots, while Animals As Leaders would've been a nice addition too. But most of the ones I was hoping for came through. Some interesting stats: - 122 bands announced, so ±20 more to be added. - Out of those 122, almost half (59) are first-timers! - 4 bands in repeat from '23 - 20 bands in common with the '22 poster
  7. Kamelot. Just go one page back (page 5) and you will see it.
  8. No updated poster yet but on the website you can now see the stage each band plays at. Interesting that there is only one name for the Slope so far. Therefore, more than half of the remaining names (approx. 23/40) are for the Slope.
  9. New names: Glints, Loverman, Equal Idiots, J. Bernardt, Peuk, BLUAI, Brutus, Isaac Roux, Whispering Sons, Eefje de Visser If you've never seen Brutus live I recommend them 200%!
  10. They've changed it! RW marketing person reveal yourself! We know you read this forum! 😂 Some red crosses are still visible btw... 🙂
  11. Whoever was responsible for today's post clearly wanted to take the piss, right? 😂 A photo with thousands of people in front of the Barn's red crosses. Just the memory of it gives me the chills. Marketing 101...
  12. The total capacity of RW is 88,000. Split into 67,500 combis and 20,500 day tickets.
  13. Potential cancelation ahead:
  14. Sad news about RATM indeed but not shocking. It was always a possibility. A good reminder that we shouldn't be taking things for granted as we don't know when the last time we watch a favourite band is going to be - especially the ones that have been around for a while. It's one of the reasons why I don't go to festivals with a bucket list and I don't mind having bands that I love (and only those, as subjective as this can be) on repeat.
  15. Happy New Year! In general you should be fine arriving Thursday (early) morning, but it also depends on factors like how will you arrive, where are you staying and what do you need to set up ;). We always rent a hut at camping Inferno and arriving Thursday morning (by car - not the best option time wise) has never been a problem. We may have missed a couple of bands here and there but nothing much. For a festival of its size things are pretty well organised. Edit: One of the advantages of staying at one of Graspop's accommodations (e.g. Inferno, Boneyard, Metal Town) is that upon arrival you can exchange your ticket for a festival wristband at the camping site. That will save you from the long queues at the festival entrance, which is awesome!
  16. So Mad Cool came up with Pearl Jam while RW got Lenny Kravitz...Hmmm...The world is upside down!
  17. Nice! It's almost as if most of the nice smaller festivals went for the same package deal of The Smile/QOTSA/Pulp/PJ Harvey with Massive Attack and LCD Soundsystem being included in many of them. If only RW had booked the same package. I mean...one can still hope!
  18. Since this seems to be a test poster, I don't expect all names to be correct. But I do expect most of them to be there. So I simply take it as a good indication of what's coming but certainly not as the absolute truth.
  19. Just had a spooky moment as your post came while I was listening to them! 😂 This is sad news, I was hoping for a big party similar to 2022.
  20. Even if all the (30) new names on that poster are correct, we'll still get at least 10+ more. Fear Factory being one of them 😉
  21. Night Verses are on the poster actually (second to last name on Thursday) but you are absolutely right about Fear Factory, I noticed that too. This is probably a test poster sent to the band (at some point) for approving the logo, positioning, etc. Several things can turn out different of course but if it's legit (it's taken down now from their socials, which for me is a good sign), I expect most of the new names to be valid. Btw, I wonder if the presence of Limpbizkit at Graspop and the absence of The Offspring indicates that the latter will play at RW.
  22. According to this, Turnstile and Limpbizkit (both rumoured for RW) will be at Graspop next summer: (the poster was leaked via Kamelot's socials)
  23. This poster was just posted on Kamelot's socials. Plenty of new names including Turnstile! Some people in Dessel must be really pissed off right about now!
  24. Katatonia and Turnstile to Graspop please!
  25. Yep, that means they are both out for Graspop. Very rarely bands have played both festivals in exceptional circumstances (last minute replacements, etc.)
