  1. Clearly, they are having difficulty completing the line-up. It's almost April and the full line-up hasn't been announced yet. In 2023, I think the full line-up was announced in mid-February. And as you say, the missing artists are probably not Mad Cool artists. My expectations for the remaining performers are very low.
  2. "I don't understand how foreign people can come to Mad Cool, having much better festival experience options all over Europe." I'm Canadian. I went to Mad Cool in 2018 and 2022 (my only European festivals). Other than the line-ups, the main reasons for going to MC were: no need to camping and can stay in hotels at very reasonable prices, nice weather (almost guarantee no raining day or mud on the site), cheap prices for food and drinks (as compare to North America). Based on this, what other festivals would you recommend? I considered in the past Rock Werchter. Thank you.
  3. I attended 2018 (Vip) and 2022. In 2018, for VIP, they had a section close to both main stages and it was well worth, although Mad Cool had many complaints because those VIP sections were often half empty. They removed VIP sections in front of the two main stages after 2018. In 2022, they had a VIP elevated platform with view from one of the main stages, but very far. Drinks are cheaper in the VIP platform. NOT worth is in my opinion assuming 2023 is no different than 2022.
  4. Can we now link all the clues to performers on the poster? The juice box is Lizzo, not The Strokes; but who is the performer with 3 eyes, Hell, etc. ?
  5. Someone suggested Bjork for the second clue and Mad Cool replied with a "positive comment". Bjork was in the group Sugarcubes before. You could imagine that the white items on the picture of the clue as the white wings of her dress (famous swan dress). I know many people thought those white items as being condoms.
  6. In 2018, on the first day, they had very long queues to go from the Metro Station Feria de Madrid to the entrance (e.g. long queues for security check and to walk to the main entrance through the building ). On the map, the Uber drop off area seems very close to the main entrance. Would Uber be a better option to avoid potential long queues on the first day?
  7. We will definitively catch you set. I love the songs you shared and the sound. Another great band from Dublin!!!!
  8. Personally, I'm not sure we will get 2 new headliners for Friday night to replace Faith No More and QOTSA. Mad Cool could promote a current sub-headliner for Friday as a "headliner". I know this would upset many people but I think it is a possibility. expectations
  9. Question about transportation to and from the festival each night. Hello. I have a few questions about transportation. I attended Mad Cool 2018 and I stayed close to the festival site. For 2022, I’m looking to rent an AirBnB close to the Colombia station or Nuevos Ministerios station; both are on the pink subway line. If I remember correctly, in 2018, they had the pink line in operation until 5 am and only that line was opened. They had also a shuttle service from the festival to the train station (not sure about this option). There were also a lot of taxis waiting at the exit of Mad Cool between 2 am and 5 am. I haven’t seen any info about transportation for 2022. Should I expect the same type of options for transportation? What were the options in 2019? In addition, I just that Pinar del rey station is closed for construction; the pink line, that goes to the festival is closed: “The renovation of the track supporting layer will mean the suspension of the service between Colombia and Mar de Cristal stations, although both will remain open to the public and the only station that will remain closed is Pinar del Rey. The Regional Transport Consortium of Madrid will also guarantee mobility in the area by introducing a special free bus service, at no additional cost to the user, to cover the stretch while the renovation works last.” Reference: https://www.metromadrid.es/en/press-release/2021-12-22/regional-government-of-madrid-to-invest-more-than-5-million-euros-in-the-renovation-of-underground-track-between-colombia-and-pinar-del-rey-stations. This should add a little of challenge to go and return from the festival. Thank you.
  10. QOTSA are still listed on the official websites of the following festivals: Les déferlantes (July 7), Musilac (July 10), Les vieilles charrues (July 16) and of course Mad Cool (July 8). Are we sure they will cancel of those July shows?
  11. Do we know the capacity for this festival? 50K? 70K? I really like this line-up and the dates are convenient for me.
