May someone will adjust clashfinder? 😘

Haven’t seen the bloke who did it on festileaks for a while so you might be stuck with the app for now

Noticed BKS announced their drop outs and replacements the other day and wondered whether there’ll be any/many this year.  Felt like there were loads last time, Shaboozy, English Teacher, KOL and then the madness of Sam Fender etc…

On the surface it looked like they had to do a bit of work to get KOL, so it was crazy to see them cancel too. There was loads of Newcastle shirts as well on the Saturday (although they still seemed to be having fun), looks like he has quite the dedicated fanbase. I guess it's just the way it goes sometimes. I only realised I missed English Teacher after the festival because it was softly removed from the schedule on the app it completely slipped my mind

Quite the debate on festileaks about the ages of headliners, if you look back on the history, RW they have mostly relied on well established artists to gain the initial crowd, and then a blend of newer trendier acts, only seems more recent history to have younger pop artists as the headliners so the argument is pretty much void.

On a note though, I had no idea that moby was 60, feel like the guy has been mid-late 30s all his life 🤣

  • 2 weeks later...

Almost a month to go and me and my mates can't wait! I like the new set up and definitely appreciate the extra space despite the fact that it will take more time to walk from the Barn to KlubC. The congestion between the two stages the last few years wasn't pleasant.

Also, about time that we find out who that last name for Saturday will be? I can't imagine that they'll leave that slot empty.

it'll be interesting to see how klub c and the slope complement each other, some of the times you'll see bands playing the slope before and after the walk to klub c, it might offer distraction or some people will walk straight past

Looking at the new map, the Slope is a bit closed off (amphitheatre style seating and drinks/food stands left and right) so I don't think that will be a problem. It wasn't with the previous set-up either really. There is plenty of space for people to walk around behind it.

That’s another good thing about Werchter, easy to just pop in for 10/15 mins if you want as everything is so close to each other.  Lots of other fests I’ve been to certainly need more planning and a lot of the time it’s just not feasible

In 5 weeks I’ll be watching Kasabian with a drink in hand surrounded my mates.  Cannot wait

True, although for me personally, with the Slope being one of my favourite stages, I tend to stay rather than pass by 😁

Who you looking forward to seeing there this year?

Ive got plenty with Keo, Cardinals, Newdad, Florence Road, The Warning, Basht., Westside Cowboy, The Reytons, Radio Free Alice and House of Protection

Just realised that’s probably about half of the lineup 😂

We'll probably cross paths a lot :). I'd gladly see all the ones you mentioned but a couple of them clash with acts we wanna see in other stages, so it will be a last minute call. The Reytons-Pixies clash for example is painful! I'd be happy with both (ok a little happier with the Reytons) so I'll leave it up to my mates.

I think I 'll definitely be there for Bahst.(how didn't I know them before RW!?!), PUP, Overpass, Cardinals, Radio Free Alice, Man/Woman/Chainsaw, Florence Road, Last Train. And probably a couple more by the end of it...

The paul kalkbrenner moby/the cure clash is providing quite the conundrum. On any other day it wouldn't be a problem but the lack of dance music this year means I might have to miss Moby and the start of the cure to get my fix, which seems absolutely bonkers out of context. Even more so considering I have nothing else to do on the sunday. sigh. first world problem i know.

I guess we have the dj sets to still appear so maybe I just spend a bit of time in there

I did enjoy it down the towers last year.  Just a fun place to be.  Aperol had DJ’s too which was just cheesy fun
