Looks like I lost Loyle Carner and gained Yard Act today.  A couple of short changeovers / need to leave 5/10 early but that was expected too.

Overall, plenty to see, fingers crossed the sun shines for us all, the drinks are flowing and some of us can catch whilst we’re there

To be fair nor was Lewis Capaldi or Moby but they still have headliner length sets.

What’s a headliner length set? A headliner is quite simply the artist with top billing on the poster. Nothing more and nothing less

So that makes Mumford, War On Drugs, The xx, Lewis Capaldi, Gorillaz, Twenty One Pilots, The Cure and Moby the headliners. All on the top line of the lineup.

Bold - Would happily go out of my way to see and pay for

Normal - Happy that they are there and worth watching but wouldn't see them outside a festival

Italics - Worth a watch, but wouldn't have otherwise made the effort

This is what it's looking like for me, I'll scout out some more of the acts for sunday, but currently not really in a rush to crowd out sunday too much unless it's something special

Not necessarily, sometimes you'll have a dance closer. But every other top two act has a set length of 1.5 hours at least minus TWOD which is generally considered considered I believe at the headline length bench. I think one of rare occasions this has been different is Simple Minds getting 1.5 hours before Green Day. Don't get me wrong, I didn't expect they were headliners anyway but it's just an observation of how the times work out. Obviously The Cure are the 2hours but those bands always will longer.

But it was more about that not all acts were straight announced and promoted as headliners. It was quite clear both Lewis and The XX were co-headliners though. I didn't expect Moby to heave longer than 1h5 15 myself. Doesn't clash with anyone I'd care for either. Friday is the worst one for clashes for me.

Some maths for potential world cup clashes, all times in Belgium (BST + 1 hour), there's quite a mismatch in data across the internet but this is taken directly from fifa's website which was updated yesterday. That match 92 could be a problem as it's directly after the cure. It's a bit confusing as they are in 'am' so technically its the next day but early hours of the morning.

If Belgium finish second that's the only game affected directly. Some big names, in 2018 when I was there they shut the park to play it so I've no idea what they are going to do. FKA Twigs / Lewis Capaldi / Agnes Obel / Charlotte de Wittee

if England finish 1st in their group

round 32 game: (match 80) 18:00 Wednesday 1st July

round 16 game: (match 92) 02:00 Monday 6th July. *directly after the cure

if England finish 2nd in their group

round 32 game: (match 83) 01:00 Friday 3rd July *missing end of mumford & sons / blood Incantation

if England finish 3rd in their group, and pending other results in other tables

round 32 game: (match 87) 03:30 4th July *after the xx have finished)

if Belgium finish 1st in their group

round 32 game: (match 82) 22:00 1st July

if Belgium finish 2nd in their group

round 32 game: (match 88) 20:00 3rd July FKA Twigs / Lewis Capaldi / Agnes Obel / Charlotte de Wittee

if Belgium finish 3rd in their group, and pending other results in other tables

round 32 game: (match 85) 05:00 3rd July *much later after mumford & sons if you're still awake

There was another fixtures list that wasn't the official FIFA one, I don't know if it was an earlier version but it had England in when Twenty one Pilots play, it may/may not explain the weird congestion at the end of the festival and gorillaz playing earlier, but i don't think the park have ever moved things around for england (there's no reason they would) so I don't think it's that unless it's poor planning or a mistake. Match 91 but that involves Group C/F/E/I

Brilliant mate, thanks for that.  All works out ok for Englands games tbf.  Should be quite lively in the hive if both England and Belgium win their groups

coins are now available to purchase tomorrow

'During the festival, one Coin will cost €3,90. You can purchase your Coins in advance and only pay €3,60 per Coin'

can't remember what the prices were last year, but I guess it doesn't mean too much if we don't how much stuff is inside the park

I find it interesting that on the 'other forum' that shall not be named here, that prodigy isn't getting a look in and everyone is either ignoring them completely or talking about the war on drugs

Yeah universally loved on festileaks.  I actually brought up the other day I find it funny as they’re just viewed as a very average act in the uk yet seen as the best thing ever for the Belgium audience

For me as soon as The Prodigy were in the barn there was only going to be one winner.

What, you can't name Festileaks by name here?

It's like Editors, some names just become way bigger in Belgium.

If anyone was hoping to go on Saturday or Sunday day tickets, only to find they're sold out, I advise making regular visits to the Ticketmaster.be website in the resale section.

Managed to pick up the five Saturday tickets I needed there over the past couple of days. Plus, grabbed return Eurostar tickets in their sale for £35 each way. Feeling a but smug tbh 🤣

    • I was also at Ghost but seated. When they scanned my ticket's and they came up as seated they printed a small ticket with the seat number info.
    • I was standing for Ghost at O2 London last year where they put the phone in a pouch beforehand so I assume they're is a mechanism in place for people in seats.
    • Most likely not, keeping an eye on Tixel and Twickets might be the best option.
