even though I'm a fan I was a bit sceptical that they aren't an obvious headliner choice but after giving them a quick watch they'll absolutely crush it

These were my thoughts EXACTLY before and after seeing them in 2018. They were incredible

A friend of mine is a big fan and he doesn't think they are a headliner either. Someone is on the ball at least haha. They aren't crushing those ticket sales.

It looks like we are getting more festival space this year, regards barn/klub c/slope area. I did notice the over crowding last year, but because I hadn't been to the festival for a few years I thought it might have been fairly normal but it was something I mentioned in my feedback. It's nice to see the festival still growing and expanding, although I'm always cautious about it losing some of its charm.

Also, I'm not overly familiar with pinkpop but I wasn't aware till now that it shares so many acts, it's crazy how many crossovers there actually is

Yeah guess that’s one of the downfalls of having screens outside the barn and Klub C that people just sit/lay down and watch them.  Hard to manoeuvre around etc….   Someone mentioned changing the entrance to Klub c which could help.

Yeah lots of crossover between the 2 events every year

Wasn’t so long ago we were saying 100 days to go, now down to 66! Coming around quickly now

No more moving from tent to tent and seeing the acts in full.. this will solve the bottlenecks though. The sound bleed from KluB C might ruin the Slope, I hope it doesn't.

more encouragement to buy snacks and beer between main/barn > klub c/slope 😉

Rock Werchter feels a little different this year. Bigger, more open, more comfortable. We’re expanding the Festivalpark by 1.5 hectares. No extra tickets, no bigger crowds, just more space to move around, sit back, chill out, and smoother flow between stages and zones. Everything for a better festival experience.

The site plan gets an update. KluB C is relocating, just like De Smaakfabriek and several partner stands. The Slope gets a complete makeover. A new structure brings a new vibe, while the music stays true to its roots: all about discovery and adventure. The makeover calls for a new name. Next week, we’ll reach out to our community on social media and ask you to help name the stage.

That probably is the reason. I've only been twice but it was tight then, and that was years back.

The XX are now only playing for 75 minutes…

On the plus side: The Cure and FKA Twigs have gotten longer sets. Twigs will be playing longer than the headliner that day.

Yeah gutted about that, but I guess maybe with no new music they’ll just play the Coachella set plus a couple more.

Expecting a few more to start changing now there seems to be able to be a crossover between the barn and Klub c

Yeah I said gutted above but being honest I’ll be so drunk and tired at that point… I’ll be fine

The Cure getting longer is decent. Twigs getting longer with be for some too. Also confirming Lewis is headlining now with a dance closing act which isn't a big shock. Taking time off of higher bands on days that are still easy to buy tickets for doesn't paint the best picture.
