Or Worthy Pastures 2026 to bridge the gap?

From memory they withdrew their ability to do Worthy Pastures with the latest planning / licensing application. Can’t remember when it exactly when the application went in (last few years, post-covid) but you can read more on various portals / links on these boards

After having to get a ticket via the resale for 4 of the last 5 festivals, I’m actually looking forward to a year off the drama!

This year was right up there with the very best, but distance makes the heart grow fonder and all that.

It hurts right now, but I have a feeling a year off will be good for me.

Have been to 2 of the last three and loved every second of them! But my body and soul feel a little beaten up right now and whilst of course it is worth it without doubt, I am still quite content that this time next year I won't have to be either a walking zombie from being at the festival, or a miserable mess having not got a ticket and being riddled with fomo!

What does worry me a little is that I will be 40 come the next festival and having gone to my first Glasto when in my 20's, they are getting harder every single time I go.. Need to learn to relax a little when onsite and listen to my body rather than charging around trying to suck every last ounce of joy out of the weekend..

Having spent Sunday night of 2023 telling anyone who would listen to me that it was my last one, I’m quite humbled to say that I’m absolutely back on that wagon.

Absolutely no confidence that will get as lucky as I did for this year with the new system, but will be trying next October all the same.

Haven't managed to get to the last 4. One year due to some personal circs, the others just failing miserably at tickets. Already anxious about t-day and at the same time trying not to wish the next 2 years of my life away! It's got a bit easier watching it on TV (the set coverage is truly peerless) but the FOMO is absolutely awful on the Tues/Weds/Thurs, and when there is footage of random scenes just out and about onsite. Resolved to get there in 2027, one way or another. In the meantime, chuffed to read on here that this year seems to have been a vintage year, and it at least sounds like some of the post-covid wobbles (crowds, vibe, some mis-steps on set times and stages) are much improved. Gives me hope.

My last one was in ‘22 and really struggled physically with it! Did try for tickets in 23&24 but wasn’t successful but wasn’t as hard to deal with as in the past . For the first time in a long while sacked this year off and when the lineup dropped I wasn’t that impressed so felt ok with my decision!

however! After watching it on TV it looked like one of the best! And has really got me thinking about the next one! Yes I’ll be struggling a bit, getting older really is sh*t and I’ll be 56 next time round but I’m seriously considering another, maybe final trip to the farm! It really is the best place on earth! And the longing to be there this year was massive

Even though I had an absolute blast this year, my visual filter is improving year on year, I’m kinda happy that there’s a year off. It will give me time to assess whether 2025 was my last. The demographic ain’t suddenly about to change for the better, chances are it will be worse. I’m still concerned that unacceptable, from my POV, changes will be made.

I often get somewhat amused by people moaning about getting too old for it. However I will be 63 in 2027 and that may be too old for 3 “all nighters” in a row and no I can’t do the just have a couple of spliffs and go to bed after the headliners. Not with some of the best dance venues and DJ’s right on my doorstep

I’ll also be 54 next time.. can’t wait (ticket gods permitting). It’ll be my 20th Glasto and the 30th anniversary since I started going.. so I will be trying everything to get a ticket.

I had the best time ever this year.. everything just worked out perfectly, I really really appreciated being there and loved everything I saw, had amazing food and a brilliant crowd of friends to hang out with.  I kind of wish there wasn’t a fallow year but I’ll love the next festival even more for the years break.

2027 would be my 18th (or 17th? It's slightly hazy). Other than a couple I couldn't go to I've been very lucky in missing only one that I wanted to go to since 2000. It means an awful lot to me to be there, but sometimes life takes priority. In 2027 I'll have a 1yr old, so I guess it really depends on whether my other half feels happy to deal with everything on her own for a week (yes I know, take the kids - but I never have done yet. I take my daughter to other festivals and can't wait until she's old enough to come and have a bit of independence, but so far Glasto is for me).

Either way I'll try for a ticket. I kind of thought by my mid 40s I'd start taking Glastonbury easier, and although this year was definitely a bit less full on than 2024 (possibly the most silly one in living memory) ... that's not really happened. I paid more attention to all the old veterans this year and made peace with the fact that I was witnessing my future 🙂

Can't adequately express my love for the place. Whether it's 2027 or some other time, I'll be back. Glasto makes you better. ❤️

We took a 2 year old in a motorhome this year and it was still an absolute belter of a festival

Oh to be only 56 next time. I'll be 63 and if I'm there I can't imagine not still being up at dawn pretty much every day as usual.

Regarding the fallow year, the biggest benefit of it is IMO  in the retention of long term crew.
