The Hill is even busier tonight.....there was more organisation from the council too guiding people in tonight

It's the last night, innit. They may never play at Heaton park again so people making the most of it.

I saw them in the pit on the 12th, then had an evening on Gallagher Hill on the 16th. Great evening and great atmosphere, did a favour for a young lad and took a video of him spreading his dad's ashes during Don't Look Back in Anger. Emotional stuff. Shame to see the tour rolling on from Manchester. It's been a good couple of weeks.

Fully agree. It’s been amazing to be at one of the gigs but also just to see all the footage of the other gigs, Gallagher Hill, the general buzz around Manchester. It has truly been special. Wembley and onwards will be phenomenal for all those there, but a bit of magic will be lost when the tour moves on from Manchester.

Question is… is there anything Oasis can do to top it?

An actual gig on Gallagher Hill?

Seems to be more a City  x Utd thing, than anything to do with the music.

Shame though, as I've seen videos from other nights where there's been good natured back and forth banter and chanting between the 2 rival sets of fans. 😞

Second show of this tour for me yesterday, and this was just as good as the first. The atmosphere was something else, proper singalong.

parts of me thinks they should do this then take a break for another 10 years, other part thinks they should keep going.

it’s really like the indie era’s tour.

Went last night. Mind blown. Liam sounds so good, Noel was fantastic, rest of band superb. Might’ve been improved with a live string section, but they did have brass on for a few tracks.
99.9% of the crowd v friendly, and my parents (in 50s) had a great time too. RA was also superb.

Mate, no need to justify in mein eyes.  Good on you and well done for having the cojones to try it

Its been a massive money spinner for the band and I have zero issues with a classic "honest jib". Its not 50 folk running at the gates and punching security. Different beast entirely.

We are cut from the same cloth AND I could have been stood next to you at Spike Island.

I don't care about the user in question sneaking somebody in either, but it does feel pretty odd to be suggesting they're "honest" but somebody rushing the gate isn't. Punching security is a different matter, of course, that's just straight-up assault. But doing what that user did, or rushing the gate, is basically the same thing. It's trying to get for free what everybody else in that field paid a lot of money for. Now, again, it's not my money on the line and the band certainly have made enough this summer, so I don't care that the user literally tricked/lied to security, but it's interesting to me how their approach is praised, but a fence hopper would be vilified. I could probably start a real forum fight by saying it feels vaguely classist.

Lol. And yes, not much point in debating. I was kind of joking about the "honest jib" . I appreciate that may have been lost in the moment.

Classist is taking it a bit far surely? I am still impressed with the approach taken as Its quite a strong one to attempt.

And I didn't mean to start some sort of moral high ground debate at all. Let's not turn another thread into a "start a fight in an empty room" vibe as there have been a few of those already post festival.

Fair, not here to start an online fight either. Just thought it was a strange way to comment on what the user did, and "classist" was the vibe I got if I'm honest because I've seen this forum react less than favorably to more brazen ways of "sneaking" into a gig (not really sneaking when you hop a fence and sprint into a dense crowd though!).  But intentions and tone can be tricky to properly understand online, so not accusing you or trying to take you to task.

I was in a festival field when replying so not exactly in a completely analytical frame of mind.

I suppose the only analogy I can draw is at Glastonbury. Not got a lot of time for the mass break in crowd's and the vibe that sometimes bring but tales like the fella who dressed in full paramedic gear and wandered straight in with purpose raises a smile.

Not really got much else to say on it but was not class based my observation.

Interested to see if this materialises. Lot of hearsay at the moment.

You'd think if it was gonna happen then we'd hear something later this year

Maybe after the final Wembley shows in September? They can announce and take Glastonbury’s place in the ticket-buying nightmare calendar?

I went last night and it was incredible, first time I’ve seen them and the buzz and atmosphere around it were special. A proper singalong, everyone front to back loving it and the band sounded great. Got the feeling they genuinely loved it themselves, even Noel looked like he was enjoying it.

Personally, I hope they don’t drag the arse out of it, it’ll lose some of the magic around it. If they do Knebworth next year, I imagine they’ll do the Etihad as well and call it a day after that. They’ll want their final ever gig to be on good terms at the home of the team they support.

Went last night was a fantastic gig despite the rain . We were lucky enough to get front section in ticket ballot so good spot .

Having spent couple of hours in ..

The friendship inn i can repeat what others say the atmosphere both there and at Heaton park was really good friendly and no bother at all . In fact having recently seen stevie wonder in Lytham I can say the crowd was massively more bearable and pleasant than that .

Richard ashcroft was great support as well .

Great night had by all

Anyone been to the "pre-show party"?

Have a "Pre-show Party & Exhibition Fan Package - Standing  ticket for Wembley, and only now realised there was a similar ticket without the "pre-show party", but same other benefits, that was almost £100 less.

Just wondering what that entails - for £100 extra, in an ideal world you'd get a free drink or two but highly doubt that.

Seems Knebworth rumours are really picking up for either next year or 2027, as well as a run of Etihad shows.

Anybody heard similar ?

Saw something somewhere about 5 (or 6) nights being reserved at Etihad next year but there was no mention of what the source was/where the rumour had started

I was told Knebworth was pencilled in for next year by someone working for live nation on Sunday.
