It will be quieter apart from the stretch from the park to the M60 roundabout. Once you are across that I expect it will be easier going.

 

Its further to Burrs than back into town but I reckon you could jump on a bus Whitefield area to Bury interchange relatively easily.

I dont think getting to Bury will be too hard. If you are staying at the premier inn, it's right next to the Tram / Bus Station. (I dont know of any other Hotels in Bury)

 

Another option is to walk to Bury new Road and get the 135. Download the Bee Network app & it'll give you real time bus info. £2 single journey.

 

The bus might seem a mission, but it might not be a bad option. 90% of people wont be heading that way. It's a possibility for me

The 135 goes down bury old road past Heaton park so not sure will be much of an option

Definitely. As I've said before - 2026 is key. If this continues into 2026 - whether it's the rest of Europe, Knebworth, Etihad or whatever, then I reckon we're on.

 

Right now they sound insanely good. I think they'd see it as a chance to put previous Glastonbury wrongs right. By that point, for the sake of one gig, the small (in relative terms) fee becomes largely irrelevant.

 

It's still early days, though. 4 dates into a 40 date worldwide tour. One step at a time

He takes good care of it these days, doesn't smoke / drink etc, max 2 nights in a row on the tour, followed by 2 nights off. I'm sure they would take some precautions ahead of a televised Glastonbury set. They will sound good if they do it.

I've always looked back on gigs from the 80's to the late 90s with envy... Before mobiles, when the atmosphere looked crazy, intense and wild, where everybody was dancing and singing, not just the pit, front to back. I've always yearned for that, and wondered what it felt like, I was too young at the time (and too broke by the late 90s when I was old enough.) 

Last night felt in every bit how I imagine those gigs from that era felt, and more... It was incredible, best gig of my life, best set of my life, and it's not even remotely close. 

The youngsters there smashed it, knew every lyric, jumped, danced and sang for every second of that gig... I was honestly a little taken back and blown away. 

Many a tear was shed, it was sunglasses all evening. If you've got tickets, you're in for a treat... I'm not going to come down for weeks...

I live 3 miles away so I took my 6 and 7 year old kids to 'Gallagher Hill' last night. It was a wonderful experience, families dancing and singing to every song. Not bad for free!

We took my 13yo goddaughter and her 15yo brother (he's also a guitarist and singer). I was a little apprehensive as their parents aren't traditional gig goers and have only been to seated gigs before. 

Bless them, they were amazing. Sang every song word for word. Both cried. The 15yo had his arms round me when I cried. 

Just beautiful.
