A preemptive bollocking from the council might’ve twisted their arm though

The council isn't making assessments or dishing out bollockings based on social media posts about theoretical timeslots. If it's in the licence application that the stage is open at that time, then GFL can book whoever they like in whatever slot. A bollocking comes later IF there has been a problem.

Initially disappointed at no Sasha, Digweed Nick Warren etc Seem to have gone away from prog last couple of years whereas there used to be loads but I guess things change with the times

I agree, it’s a shame to not have something deeper to get involved in. Maybe elsewhere on site…?

As you think everyone else is wrong, why do you think it's been changed?

Why do we think that Faithless is now Friday is it just the title is.

Could it not be Thursday then the other 2 are Fri, Sat or Sun and one act is missing

The Glade Area | Glastonbury Festival (glastonburyfestivals.co.uk)

"This year will kick off with the triumphant return of Faithless to the Glade. Faithless recently teased their exciting return to Glastonbury with a Thursday night headline slot at The Glade Stage. With unprecedented hype for their 2024 comeback the band will now be marking their return on an even bigger slot on Friday night, kicking off the weekend with an unforgettable performance."

Never seen a headliner on the glade, what time do they normally start? Looking at Fatboy for Saturday night.

I never really know if they have names headliners before.

Last year the last acts started and finished inconsistently

TEED were 00 - 0130 on the Sun

But thur  & Fri the last acts started at 01:30 & 1:45 it was literally different every day

I wonder if FBS on Saturday night at the glade might be too small a stage? Was at the park last year and it was super busy, and the park is nowhere near as conveniently located. I guess the fact he’s up against Gossip, Disclosure and Peggy Gou might split the electronica crowd somewhat.

Yeah this is disappointing. With Sasha and Digweed both touring this year I was hoping not to have to go to Manchester to see it.

Would be great if Fatboy was the Sunday night headliner.

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
