Yeah that's awful. Coachella really hasn't had to try hard to take a crowd this year.

I can see Raye headlining in a shocking move. She’s blown up as of late and has large industry backing (the brits show felt pointless to watch as they just handed her everything). I saw her at Parklife and thought she was fantastic but can’t help that in a few years time she’ll be looked at similarly to the likes of Paloma Faith.

If they got Raye headlining considering other events she's doing over Olivia that would be madness.

They’ve really f**ked up there. Justice can’t be anything other than headliners

Bonnaroo is a multi-stage festival.  Justice will be headlining a stage (probably the tent) just like they did at Glasto, on the same day as Olivia Rodrigo.

Ah, fair enough, cheers for the info

Several years back, when his stock was a lot lower, it was a reasonable enough viewpoint.

Was this low stock point (which I can't recall) at the same time as the Pyramid nadir of Landfill Indie Friday around 2007?  It can't have credibly been at any point thereafter. Class is permanent etc.. I saw him in Vegas in 2008, then a Stadium in 2014...think anyone saying he was going to pop into "El Pointo" on a Sunday afternoon was sounding silly.

No - but it was prior to the quadruple-whammy of his Autobiography, the Rocket Man film, his emergence as a chart contender and the announcement of the farewell tour.

About the time his only gigs seemed to be in odd rural football stadiums.

I'm surprised at how she isn't popping up much in people's predictions here as a Pyramid sub given the fact she's touring, playing a fair few festivals, and given how much Emily loves her.

Would have been similar to the average age of the entire festival given the huge audience

My friend (who is the one who persuaded me to come back this year) left the Elton set half way through and said it's the most dead he'd ever seen the rest of the site. He's not keen on crowds, so just ended up getting off his face on something and bopping to Rudimental (or someone like that).

The rest of the site was like a ghost town from long before the Elton set, at least S of the Railway track, presumably elsewhere as well. It was a great illustration of how the demographic has changed. Anyway good on your mate, he made the right move

not sure where she would fit in at glasto 2025, they're obv trying to push her but a lot of the big slots have solid rumours attached to them

Slot before the sub on the Pyramid, Sunday afternoon/evening just seems made for her.

Yeah, not so much a prediction as a feeling that's the best slot for her.  Something for the local ticket holders, decent crossover appeal and a rising star right now.  In the not too distant future I expect she'll be attracting higher profile slots.

Personally think this is largely great. Combs, Tyler and Rodrigo are massive choices even if Sunday's headliners do feel like a bit a of step down from the rest.

Infinity stage, if not just a gimmick, sounds amazing and would be brilliant if it's big enough for a Justice headline for example, to really push the envelope of what's possible for stages and artists.

Not sure on Remi Wolf's pool party thing though. While a pool party sounds fun, I saw Remi last year and she was very unfortunately, the worst act I saw all year. Frankly, she was garbage, but maybe she'll work better in that space.

Could easily see her subbing The 1975 or Neil Young. Imagine if she has a load of festival slots booked including a headline slot at APE she'll have some more hits out or a new album before the summer.
