Bonnaroo is a multi-stage festival.  Justice will be headlining a stage (probably the tent) just like they did at Glasto, on the same day as Olivia Rodrigo.

that production cant fit in their tents. Itll be the second stage.

Wisp is a shoegaze band if anyone really cared about good music.

Personally think this is largely great. Combs, Tyler and Rodrigo are massive choices even if Sunday's headliners do feel like a bit a of step down from the rest.

Infinity stage, if not just a gimmick, sounds amazing and would be brilliant if it's big enough for a Justice headline for example, to really push the envelope of what's possible for stages and artists.

Not sure on Remi Wolf's pool party thing though. While a pool party sounds fun, I saw Remi last year and she was very unfortunately, the worst act I saw all year. Frankly, she was garbage, but maybe she'll work better in that space.

the Infinity stage is a 360 degree  immersive stage. Its just for Dj's. Like at Coachella we have The Do Lab and now Quasar. Its essentially a mix of those 2 stages cause theyre trying to find more ways to shove Edm into their programming.

I actually just came here to throw her name into the ring, as no one else seems to be talking about her as a potential.

Naturally feel free to take this with a heavy pinch of salt, but someone I know is well connected in the music industry etc and, when I saw him the other week, was adamant that Gaga is headlining Glastonbury this year.  He also said that she'd be doing shows in Brazil, which then was confirmed a few days after he told me.  Other tidbits were that her album is called something like 'Theory of Chaos' and that Die With A Smile was going to be on it - again he mentioned this before it was known publicly.

As a huge Gaga fan, I'm very much hoping this is true - though obviously I'm well aware this might not be what people consider to be a reptuable source, so don't shoot the messenger! Just came on here to share what I was told (whether it turns out to be true or not). Usually very much a lurker on here, don't often post at all - but thought it might be worth saying the above.

Unrelatedly, this person I know also told me that Von Dutch by Charli XCX is written about FKA Twigs - because apparently they hate each other. Not relevant to this thread but nonetheless something I found interesting.

Wow thanks for the info! Fingers crossed she does play; would be a much more interesting booking than the inactive 1975. 😄

I think if Gaga played then Glastonbury don't have Olivia. I'd be pretty sure The 1975 are playing. Definitely enough information recently as well that Olivia went tied down.

Fairly sure it's not a case that Gaga is begging to play and Emily is blocking it.  So nothing 'easy' about lining it up.

Sure, why don't they just book a trio of Madonna, Taylor Swift, and Led Zeppelin. 2 female artists and something for everyone. Easy.

Words that are guaranteed to get me running to spotify to check a band out.

Really hoping the info about Gaga playing is right, it would be amazing.  She’s such a brilliant performer.. now would be the perfect time for her to come back.

Afraid there is no info. Just people trying to manifest something..

Clearly not gonna happen, but yeah kick The 19crappy5 to 2026 please 😉 and get Gaga in. Come on Emily, you know it makes sense!

I would welcome this change of information but I doubt it's likely!  Matt Healy might have got them cancelled I guess!?

The kind of sentence I usually equate with the kind of people who end facebook posts with "simples"

No snark, obviously.

they're just off the back of their biggest ever tour, that was effectively a double tour in the end, selling out both. like them or loathe them (and I'm aware mant on this forum very much fall into the latter camp), but Healy's antics haven't impacted them whatsoever.

It'd be easier to punt The 1975 to another year and then have Gaga take their slot. Emily'd be super happy again with two female headliners.

If Gaga was available I’m Glastonbury and could book her. She probably isn’t though and they can only book what’s available. I’m also not sure it’s as ‘easy’ as ‘punting’ acts to other years. Especially if deals have been signed.

So my only thought on this is the combination of the two 1975 + Loyle Carner as the big 2 Friday Night headliners?

There are a lot of people who literally refuse to try any music that came out after about 2004ish and while I have minimum sympathy for them my worry is they may swamp one of the other options with a more veteran name -  While I know there is info on both. -  I kind of feel there might be a big possibility  one of the two must be wrong. I think this might need further investigation

Can someone remind me of the source for both these two bits?

Yeah, I think if Gaga was in-play for Glastonbury in terms of availability and price they’d definitely go for it.

Can see her doing Coachella as a one off album launch, and then a stadium tour to follow in 2026 maybe.

I don’t think it’s that outlandish - they’re different enough from each other as counter programming to be head to head.

Was current thinking Basement Jax and Underworld against them? Could be some good parties there.

    • No idea how it'll work in a festival setting but really enjoying Prewn at the moment.
    • Lineup announced, with the dates having been pushed back to 12th and 13th September. Tickets on sale tomorrow 8:30am.   12th September Chaka Khan Jack Savoretti Lulu Emeli Sande Texas ABC The Script   13th September Simple Minds Deacon Blue Level 42 Appleton Blue James Blunt Cast   I think it’s a pretty weak lineup compared to previous years to be honest - and think it’s quite lazy they’ve gone down the Scottish route so much (not sure Simple Minds would be classed as a headliner elsewhere in the UK).

    • I've been saying that it's been due for years. I don't recall anything but good luck, mainly, since 2016.   If we could get the bad year out of the way during the fallow year, and return to glorious sunshine next year, that would be most welcome.
