Now I'm going to do some probably baseless speculation, that easier to do digging on probably means that they're uk based or at least have some kind of connections over here. ie that takes Rihanna and Eminem out of the equation (if they were still in it, I've lost track).

There has been some word, however strong or not that the Friday Olivia is playing BST is the Friday after Glastonbury and not of Glastonbury. If true, that aligns back to a potential of Olivia, Fred and Stevie Wonder.

SOooo, if I were a betting man (I'm not) I think I'd be considering O-Rod/Fri, Fender/Sat, Stevie W/Sun.

 

I'd take that to be honest.  Hope Nick Cave is Saturday on the Other and I'm sorted.

I honestly don't really want any of them except for O-Rod. If I was a betting man though based on the latest from Fred and if @K2SO has got the wrong Friday for Olivia then I'd say your 3 are likely. I feel Olivia should play the Saturday to split it up.

 

I'd also probably be going Noah Kahn, Yungblud and Biffy Clyro for subs as if Charli is a Reading Exclusive I can't currently see who's going sub ad a female and who's around as I don't believe Sabrina is. Sabrina would make that part of an incredibly average start of a top 9 Pyramid. I like Yungblud but he wouldn't be subbing.

I think Fender Friday and Rodrigo Saturday was where I was leaning, having not been aware of both the BST Hyde Park news and clarity being sought on what the date is.

 

I'm genuinely not sure as to what way I think the Sunday will spin though. I thought it might be Harry Styles a week or two ago but now, maybe I'm not so sure.

Charli is also not an exclusive to Reading and Leeds. She will be elsewhere - This date will not rule her out of Glasto and will likely increase the chances of a Glasto slot.

 

Based off this other festival, if she is at Glasto, I would bet she's got either an Other headline or Pyramid sub, probably earmarked for a bump to Pyramid headliner if they have to hit the panic button.

 

I think 2025 is going to be a defining year for UK stadiums. I'm not sure I'd bet on one thing I've heard, but if I did, and it came true, bitch better have my money!

To be honest I think we all guessed that Charli is going to play one of those slots. Normally I would say one of these slots would rule out of returning to headline in the future but I'd say that's changed recently. I fully expect if she wasn't a wrongun that Lizzo would have returned to headline, I would expect LDR to get the opportunity if she wasn't stupidly late and Little Simz recently. I'm not going to include Sam Fender as he got a bump due to a pull out. So the last 3 years really, I dare say Geroge Ezra was thought of with a trajectory as one point. Regardless of what's been said I don't see Idles ever doing it. I'd say that puts Charli as a second down act at Reading. 

 

Festivals look like a potential dying breed when it comes to the major one's, it won't be worth the cost of many of them if they can't get in the top headliners. Ultimately with how many artists are able to sell their tickets for these days it's becoming enough to keep bands out of festivals.
