if so what acts 

V disappointed if it doesn’t. 
I can’t see any on the iplayer but may be due to flags. 
It doesn’t look packed enough though

There was some crowd surfing at The Hu. It was fun to see. I’m thinking it’s more to do with there being fewer bands of certain types of music.

There was a crowdsurf at the Avalon Café stage. The 15-year old guitarist of the Entitled Sons went for it. Must be a first for the Avalon Café!

And Thomas from Måneskin crowdsurfed while continuing to play guitar. It's on the iPlayer. I think it was during their last song, 'Kool Kids'

Very little. Too many people with phones in pockets. Aldo its difficult to crowd surf with a big "day bag" on your back.

Frankly, fine.  I've done it myself once upon a time, but taking a boot to the face gets tedious after a while.

Was able to see f**k all for most of my first ever Glastonbury after a crowd-surfer kicked my glasses off into the crowd on the Friday night.

Some random bloke who was about 5ft 5 asked if Id put him on my shoulders during Elton John (Im 6ft 4), I declined... then about 5 mins later he was attempting to crowd surf.

I once took a boot to the face and left the venue with blood streaming down it. 

In summary: almost as bad as flags. 🙂

The last time I crowd surfed wasn’t at Glasto.
 

For some random reason there was an airbed getting thrown around the crowd. It landed next to me, I jumped on and the crowd around me instinctively knew what to do. 
 

Was fun, no one got booted in the face and I didn’t get inappropriately groped.
 

So if you’re going to crowd surf make sure you’re safe and have a barrier between yourself and the crowd.

Sadly not.

And got robbed on the same night so had no cash and spent the rest of the weekend panhandling like a hobo in the goldrush.

You carry a spare pair now? I do now but no idea what I would do without my glasses, certainly be telling stories that others would let me know never happened

I really wished I wasn't flying solo during Generation Sex. Been caught up in some, but don't think I have ever felt the urge to join a mosh pit so much as I did during that.

I'm fifty f**king five for f**ks sake.

I was totally, "Hold my stuff. I'm going in". I was about four bodies max away. Wasn't to be as cowardice about leaving stuff with strangers kicked in.

for GnR me and a mate accidently ended up pretty much at the front - we'd walked around the side way from Silver Hayes and the intention was to go up past the Mandela bar and meet the rest of our crew up at the back of the field by the ice cream van.

but as we got to Mandela we could see that the front section was actually pretty empty and easily accessible and we thought f**k it lets see how close we can get.

so we strolled in, and ended up about halfway between the stage and the pit rail - the closest i've ever been at the Pyramid (not including opening / early bands where i've been on the rail).

the pit then seemed to fill up almost instantly around us and there would have been no way to get out and get back again.

the whole point of this story is that because we hadn't planned on being there - i had'nt been to the toilet and even before GnR came on i was busting for a piss.

so my next plan was to enjoy a few songs at the front and when people, inevitably, started crowd surfing i would go over (as the easiest way to get out) and off to the toilet...

but not a single person crowd surfed! not one! at least as far as i could see! 

and i wasnt going to be the first... 

i really enjoyed GnR - but man was it getting VERY uncomfortable by the end...

Yes! I got crowd surfing (at 49) during the end of Sports, the first time up since Rage Against the Machine in 1993!

A very decent stranger got my mobile number and sent me video footage, needless to say my children were mortified (and secretly proud I think too) 🙂
