When, after the resale, it was confirmed we wouldn’t be Glasto bound this year, we considered options. I wanted something that was going to be memorable. So a week in NYC booked, as is Billy Joel at MSG, Aerosmith at the UBS Arena in Elmont and Psychedelic Furs/Squeeze at Radio City Music Hall.

let me know if you need any bar,  restaurant or hotel recommendations

My favourite was Ray Davies but I wasn’t there for Neil. Don’t know if he’ll ever be beaten for me because the football meant he had a very appreciative audience as well.

Absolutely this….
I love my football but nothing was going to drag me away from being there..

my daughters went off to watch the footie leaving me to sit and sob into my cider alone….

Was watching Kinks night last night on BBC 2 and was wondering what's happened to Ray.  Hasn't played live for 6 years and seems a bit MIA.

I will have to catch that on iPlayer. Genuinely think he is one of the best songwriters Britain has ever produced.

He is nearly 80 so every chance he’s just not up to performing anymore but I will forever treasure that Sunny Sunday afternoon. Probably the one I look up on YouTube most often.

I’ve always thought Waterloo sunset is one of the best songs ever written. Heard the Kinks live several times and that song just sends shivers down the spine.

Ray's 2010 set was absolute class!

Let's have...

Sting
Stevie Nicks
Annie Lennox
Daryl Hall
Ringo Star
Don Henley
Michael McDonald
Joni Mitchell
Santana
Jimmy Page
Eddie Vedder
Billy Joel
Ozzy Osbourne
Alice Cooper
Iggy Pop
Cher
Joan Jett
Chaka Khan
Cindy Lauper

Still plenty there to be hitting up before we need to be subjected to The Spice Girls

Seeing this list actually fills me with some confidence for the near future of Legend Slots. Stacks which I'd love to see and confident they'd put on a good show.

Eddie Vedder....?  That's mental.

Very much up for Alice Cooper appearing in the Dad Rock For The Dad's Who Like To Rock Slot should it ever reappear.

Wasn't that around about 10pm on the Pyramid on the Friday.

Repeated around the same time on The Other Stage on the Sunday.
