Genuine question - does anybody recall June ever been this cold before? Can accept the rain, but the mix of single figure temperatures, high wind and rain is just not ok.

Nope its below average June temperature by 3/4c.

An hour ago, it was 18degC, slight breeze and lovely in West Yorks. It’s now overcast to the point of being almost dark and 14degC. Madness.

2002 was quite cold at Glastonbury especially at night. My birthday is tomorrow and I usually get to do outside stuff on my birthday in “ summer “ clothes or on beach/garden. Today I have gone back to winter boots, 4 layers and have the heater on in the office!

It might be raining a bit now, but the ground should be OK. We've only had 6% of the expected rain inthe SW this month

The ground is fine. Few puddles here and there, but they’ll soon go. No rain ATM

An hour ago we were in the middle of a huge downpour, windy, gutters overflowing. Now it’s blue skies, warm and the ground drying up. Totally unpredictable.

It's looking much better for Glastonbury week.... Cool at night

Which is actually ok tbh at a festival. It's the prolonged rain set in for the day that gets you and brings on the mud and lakes. This brief downpour just washes the piss and shite off long drip toilet seats - nice.

At last someone finds something positive about a rain shower at the festival, well thought out @Pinhead.  Totally agree with you. Might not be enough to dislodge an empty cider can though😉

the sound of rain on a tent when youre in the warm and have just had a wee before getting 'indoors' - thats a bloody excellent sound.Thats a definite rain positive.

Now look, to appease you militant weather lot, i'll accept a couple of showers on the monday night before you get there
