Aye. My entire crew went but Carrie Underwood was the top shagger's choice.

We were on the Carl Cox soul train.

If I’m perspiring heavily, I’m doing it in the shade listening to Marvin Gaye.

Massive fingering on this GFS run.

25-26 on Wednesday afternoon and 28 on Thursday afternoon...

worth noting GFS is well known to over egg temps by a couple of degrees, so expect 2-3 degrees lower than that

I've gotta disagree, we've had awful weather for so long so its a reasonably good sign that things seem to be changing from next week - even if it does settle into a pattern of warmth, longer periods of sunshine and scattered showers.

It's also positive that for some time (most) models have been in basic agreement that things are trending somewhat drier and warmer toward the end of the month (It's still too soon but consistency is our friend). Can't explain it, but, I feel more positive for the weather for this years festival than I did the last two.

Exactly this. The forecast at this stage for the specific days of the festival has been irrelevant all along. The general trend has always been however toward higher pressure, less rain and higher temps. The build up to the festival looked worrying a week ago whereas now looking better and the trend towards good weather for the festival has gotten even stronger as we move towards having more confidence. In my estimation what this means is that poor ground conditions are now much less likely on arrival (although not impossible). In addition there's a pretty good chance of scorchio at the festival itself. Nothing is certain but at the minute things are trending in the right direction

General trends seem to be low pressure approaching towards the end of next week with some rain (hopefully not too much) and then warmer/drier weather following it for the festival week.

Met Office have pressure of 1019 for the end of the week and no rain. I'll take that.

    • I agree the prices are tough for locals. You can see if Porto timetable is the type that works for you and it's a terrific city. Also cheaper. https://www.primaverasound.com/es/porto/lineup-porto
    • thanks XXialac! i guess for us the most important aspect will be a festival that starts very late in the day, specially in these southern countries were it can be really hot! The combination of visiting a new city, having good lunches and enjoying a festival is a absolute must for us. Also, we like headliners but the undercard is just as important; truly enjoyed Men I trust, NewDad, Big Thief this year so from that angle it is not really a big thing if a festival is somewhat smaller.    Apparently my bad, i had 5 in my system but 0.5 (10%) increase is still huge. I am not sure how teenagers can afford these prices............
    • That second part was how I felt about Rock IM Park this year trying first. I found that when it gets to like the 3rd act on the main stage down, you've gotta make a choice to miss anything leading up might not enjoy and it's sometimes while closer for not a great view as everyone in turn has to make the call too. Being short doesn't help as I'd just be able be further bacm but still see.
    • I wasn’t slagging Scooter off, they are undeniably silly. As I said, they are the definition of a meme booking for Download. People requested them for years because it was silly.
