TBF I was assuming the only people reading this wouldn't be there yet, and unless they live in Pilton would not be onsite in time for the 30 minutes of drizzle that was taking place at the time.

The merest sprinkle. Left the dust unkept down.

Anyone else got a sinking feeling that the lovely weather luck we have had for the last 8 years has to break at some point?

Not on the farm this year myself and whilst I am delighted for those who are that you are getting good weather, I cannot help but think ahead to next year when I will (hopefully) be back...

Could 2025 by the year of the deluge?

To be fair, the pessimism in many of us think this will be case every year.
I’d say we cane pretty damn close to a washout this year - missed the horrendous weather at the start of June by a couple of weeks.

That was epic. I was at the pyramid and could see it approaching. They shut down the stage and I legged it Got into Cornish Arms just before the rain. They had cask ale so could still serve beer even without electricity.

It was wild wasn't it, I was at the green arms (as it was) in t and c and the loudest thunderclap then everything went off and is rained like I've never seen before, but cash and cash ales got us through 😀

Blue sky has appeared already.  Not enough to dampen down the dust.  Another feature today will be the wind.  I’m up at Worthy and it’s already very blowy.

That was so cool, set everything back an hour and I ended up watching a couple of bands I never would have watched otherwise!

Quite a few of the models, including UKMO, still keen on some rain on Sunday morning, courtesy of this feature.

They just vary in timing and intensity.  Might make you damp if you’re going out early.   Shouldn’t be too disruptive though…

Best glastonbury weather of the last 3 years for me. Hot Weds, cooler but dry on the music days.

And still getting enough sh  to keep the leisure batteries, and Jackery, fully charged!!!

This is absolutely perfect. In the words of Craig Charles, ‘we f**king nailed it!!!’

    • Maybe hopeful but get Knocked Loose on the Sunday opposite the legend. Similar to the slot Turnstile had in 2022. Would be absolutely phenomenal.
    • One of my personal favourite bands at the minute - MUNA. Was very surprised not to see them booked in 2023 with their last album but hopefully they'll be around next year. Very fun new album from these guys and, as aforementioned, another standout for me at Big Weekend.
    • Absolutely second this. Were great at Big Weekend and already have a great catalogue of songs forming so far. Would love to see them on the farm!
    • A mixed first day for us. First of all, we were honestly quite shocked that there was no security check at all at the VIP entrance around 7:30 PM. No bag check, nothing. I’ve attended Primavera many times over the years and this felt surprisingly lax for an event of this size. Did anyone else experience the same?   Another disappointment was the communication regarding the weather situation. Primavera has some of the best sound systems and speaker setups in the festival world, yet somehow they were not able to make a single clear announcement explaining what was happening. Instead, people were expected to read tiny messages on screens in Mordor while thousands were left wondering what was going on. A simple and direct audio announcement would have gone a long way.   On a lighter note, this guy absolutely made my day. Sitting right in front of the Estrella Damm terrace, wearing nothing but a long-sleeve shirt, jeans and a pair of Converse All Stars, he remained completely unbothered by the rain. While everyone else was looking for shelter, he sat there wearing sunglasses, calmly watching the crowd as if he was watching a movie.   Absolute main character energy!
    • I think my party got pretty lucky last night, at least compared to some of the horror stories over on Reddit. I was very impressed with Father John Misty in particular.   Perhaps my view would be different if I were a big Massive Attack fan or whatever, but right now my feeling is that if it's not safe for the shows to go ahead... then it's not safe for the shows to go ahead. I'd much rather they were cautious than roll the dice when it comes to something like that.    Here's hoping everyone has a better day today.
